Bathrooms Design Dilemma

Kohler Titanium Fixtures

Does anybody know of a place that offers shower doors and other hardware with a finish similar to Kohler’s titanium?

We’ll be putting that finish in as the shower hardware, but we’re looking for a shower door that will complement, or at least not take attention away from that. Kohler unfortunately doesn’t offer shower doors in that finish, and we’re hoping for something closer than chrome or matte black.

I must ask:

Of the EIGHT possible finishes in Kohler on so many styles? In a bath where shower fittings are very permanent? No matter how much you may love it?

I'd say it's an ill advised choice regardless of shower door hardware. There won't be hinges or handle in that finish. Frame? I would hope from no frame, custom heavy glass.

We don't know style, flavor or anything else in the bath. But. Almost without fail, all these "off" finishes quickly turn to fad of the moment - and specific to one manufacturer.

You asked and I gave you an answer you don't want to hear, and none pertaining to the actual question. Sorry......: )

Why not go with a frameless shower use the nickel finish hinges and pulls.

HELP!! My chrome Kohler fixtures stained.

Hi everyone! I realize this is a very old post but I found this thread today when faced with a similar issue, and the faucet is only a few weeks old. Lots of spots all over our fixtures that do not buff away. I tried everything from Kohler's cleaning recommendations, also Kohler emailed a tip to soak paper towels in 50/50 water / vinegar and letting them sit over the faucet. That didn't help at all. Then while interviewing a housekeeper today, she suggested baby oil. She said she uses it on everything. It buffs away spots and prevents future water stains. I tried that, and voila. Perfect. Looks like new! I am not sure if it will work on the chrome finish that started this thread (our finsih is Kohler Vibrant Brushed Bronze), but just wanted to post this in case that tip can help anyone else out!

Kohler strike: Any problem getting fixtures?

I ordered all Kohler fixtures, fortunately, before the strike. However, I ordered accessories - towel bar, robe hook, tp holder a few weeks after I ordered the shower fixtures, faucets, sinks and toilet. A few weeks after I ordered them, I was checking up them since I had already received my first order. That's when I found out about the strike and that my accessory order would be delayed. I had asked if I should pick out something else, but the showroom told me they would try and see if they could locate the items I wanted. Not sure where they came from, but I did get a call on Thursday that they were in. So I agree with Xedos that you should see if the items you want are available somewhere. Difficult to tell when the strike may end. Luckily for me, I was able to get all the big items delivered within a few weeks and installed. The towel bar, etc was not a big deal to wait for!

The closest seems to be brushed nickel, which obviously isn't shiny and will darken over time. Going frameless will reduce the hardware to hinges only and you'll see less contrast than if you have frames.
