2x2 or 4x4 Zellige

Anyone used 2x2 or 4x4 Zellige? I originally was thing of using 2x6, but I was told the smaller tiles are more finished and less rusting looking. Just looking for someone’s experience!
The photo is what I am considering.

I've used the 2x6 in an inlay to my wood flooring,,,

But I also bought the 4x4's (they were having a clearance of these colors)

I will mention,,,,make sure to apply a sealer to the surface of these tiles once they are installed. they will stain. my black ones have some spotting prior to sealing

I would NOT use the 2x2 for your backsplash. the 4x4 or the 2x6 would be better.

Riad tile has some very nice colors and diff sizes. (mine are from Cle'Tile)

compare these next two pics. which do you like better?

(this is a horrible grout and layout job. the cuts at the top, the obvious grid marks of the sheets, the uneven grout lines. Horrid)

Compare this tile job to the one above. see how much nicer the cut tiles look in the larger size? also, these don't come on a sheet, so you won't have the 'grid' effect.

in the 2x6 size, I really like the vertical offset layout

Panicle hydrangeas can be cut back to just a few main branches in the spring and then still bloom in the fall. Something between pollarding and coppicing. My understanding is Little Lamb has small flowers, but is not really a dwarf shrub. Also look at Dharuma. It has a nice small stature. Ted

Dapper, I placed an old ski pole in the center (because I had one that I was going to throw away), then I pounded stakes in a circle around the edge of the bed (about 1' in) and tied garden twine to them, which I then tied to the top of the pole. I planted the beans around each stake, probably around 4-6 seeds each, and they grew up the twine. I had to add an extension to the ski pole, it wasn't nearly long enough. While the beans were growing on the outside, I had lettuce growing on the inside (empty, shaded) area. I really don't care for or recommend this method, it's difficult to find/pick the beans that grow on the inside of the tepee. I'd stick to a single trellis if I were you, you could plant on both sides of it. Granny Here is a link that might be useful: Annie's Kitchen Garden

Such as, asking for advise before, where it may have been suggested that the post be set at 7'8"or 9" apart, notched to fit the stringers so the outside appears consistent over the length.

Madreperla....she's already done! she finished her kitchen backsplash a month ago. read the comments and quit trying to sell your tiles. this is the 9th post where you're posting these pictures without any care about reading what has been done, or what the person actually wants.

I know there are some lovely Zellige installations around but if my backsplash looked like that sample board I would throw a fit... at that point I'd just make my own tiles.

@beth h Thank you!!! You are right! Now considering 4x4 or 2x8. Tile place is saying there is less variation in 4x4 and that it will be a cleaner look. Thoughts? Open to other backsplash ideas. I really like the 2nd pic you posted!!!

see if you can see a box of the 4x4's. there usually is some variation. you'd need to buy a few extra boxes.

Have you looked at Portmore over at Tilebar? or Cloe? they aren't zellige, but they mimic the look.

Definitely not the 2x2’s. i would’nt rule out marble..you have a beautiful and classic looking kitchen!

@Project Mode Thank you! "Classic" is the look I am definiitely tryng to go for. Marble was actually my original choice of backsplace. Tell me more - what type of marble?
