Of course there are good reviews! There are good reviews for everything. There are bad reviews for everything too. And those people are more vocal. 20K is pretty light for a budget for that level of cabinets though. Double that figure.

I only have a small L shaped kitchen so 40,000$ for Dura is higher than I will be spending. I would expect to spend that with a high end brand like wood mode.
The reviews most concerning are the end users after several years of use not the reviews on the delivered product .

We have Dura in our NY home since 2009. The cabinets are made well but there has been paint chipping in certain areas.

That said, a few years back, we happened to see Dura in a showroom. The finish they used was different. No seams at the joints.

Look into the type of finish. Years ago, you just accepted chipping with white kitchen.

eld6161 They now offer painted wood or painted HDF door fronts . Probably did not offer painted HDF when you bought yours in 2009.
They said with painted HDF door fronts there will be none to minimal seasonal cracking at the joint lines so those are probably the ones you saw in the show room .
Im concerned that the painted HDF will be more susceptible to moisture since people have complained of swelling and bubbling after a period or use . Unable to determine if the people who had these problems chose the painted HDF or painted wood .

You have a very pretty kitchen and the 20,000+ for my remodel is just for cabinets the entire remodel will be much more. Did you chose bright white or one of the warmer whites for your cabinets?
