Daffodil (Jonquil?) ID

I'm in northern Virginia, zone 6 or 7 by now. I have a daffodil which I think I saw for the first time last year and no memory of planting it. I've now searched my notes and can find nothing so I am hoping someone here has the same plant and can ID it.

I would say it's an EM or mid-season bloom, height about 15" (but I didn't measure yet), mostly 2-3 blooms on a stem, color is intense (lemon) yellow petals with a short intense orange cup, small green throat and intense, strong fragrance.

Second photo is closer to true colors, but it's even more saturated.

wish gal would have told us what it is.. since i suspect if i search only the proper name.. it might not work ..

ps: being lazy.. after that exhaustive search.. what the difference between a jonquil and a daff.... if any ... or is it two words for basically the same thing ...

Thanks, I'm a little over half way through daff bloom. All were replanted last fall so this is probably not a normal year. I still have some lat5er ones coming up and the babies of earlier ones are putting up new scapes. John

You may have to settle on a 'Papillon Type' for this one unless a fancier happens by. Some Daff's have an annoying habit of changing shape and even color depending on weather, soil and other factors making ID more difficult. Here is a link that might be useful: Division-11

Cheerfulness is multi-headed, like all Tazettas. Your original picture of your own plant shows what appears to be a small-flowered, multi-headed Narcissus. Hence the suggested Cheerfulness id. I'm not sure of the relevance of Obdam which is not a Tazetta type. It is large flowered and it isn't multi headed. It may look a bit like a Gardenia insofar as it is a whitish, double, fragrant bloom but there is no botanical connection and the comparison appears to be solely a marketing strategy. Your flower isn't Obdam.

Both daffodil and jonquil are common names for Narcissus. I assumed that was a given and understood. Jonquilla is one of the 13 divisions of Narcissus so the use of "jonquil" is most often applied to selections from this division but is also used in reference to other, similar looking forms.
