New episode of Call The Midwife tonight on PBS

I was channel surfing and saw that a new Call the Midwife is on our local PBS station at 8pm tonight (3/19) - in about five minutes. Woo-hoo!

Altho it will be different if certain characters are no longer there.

I just finished watching all the back seasons. My son put me on his Netflix acct, and I discovered the show and for weeks watched two shows a night. I had read the books some years back, didn't expect much from the show, but I fell in love with it. I am devastated that I've watched all I can until this season gets to Netflix. No, I don't have and have never had a TV. I watch on my computer.

What I love most about the show is the kindness. It's in such short supply these days.

Love the current season of Call the Midwife but miss Chummy. The latest episode was so touching. Ded, I have a DVR so I can tape both Mad Men and The Bletchley Circle. I haven't yet watched Sunday's episode of Bletchley, but did see Mad Men. I'd almost given up on Mad Men as I wasn't crazy about so far this season but Sunday night's episode was GREAT! I'm so glad I didn't give up on it. I watched about 15 minutes of Selfridge but didn't like it at all. I love Jeremy Piven but didn't take to him in that role. I reserved at the library the book that Call the Midwife is based on and can't wait to get it.

Bummer, I missed it and for some reason, my DVR didn't seem to catch that broadcast. I just checked and it's not showing on Verizon On Demand, nor is it airing on any of my local PBS channels (I get both Wash DC and Baltimore channels). I wish I had known it was going to be shown on Christmas so I could've set me DVR. :( Edited to add....I just checked the PBS app on my ipad and it has the episode! Hurray. It airs at the same time as Outlander. :( Altho Outlander repeats soon after, I'd rather watch it IRT because I really enjoy the series. I have Midwife cued to watch on Thursday night, the soonest it repeats here on my PBS station.

My PBS station aired reruns of two past holiday specials last weekend. Even tho I had seen them before, I still got all teary. Aren't they the best stories? I just happened to come across tonight's special while surfing the channel directory. I bookmarked it.

I believe it's season 12 here in the USA.

Sister Veronica's scooter was a hoot. I think she'll be a good addition to the series.

I'm a Passport member and so saw all the episodes in the new season. Very good. I like the shows a lot but don't really need to see too many more babies born.
