I've had no trouble with my Thermador 6 burner stove. It's 13 years old. We are now into the 2nd week of a major remodel of the kitchen knocking out the old mudroom laundry room to make a bigger kitchen. I will keep the Thermador. I am looking at an ASKO Dishwasher. I had nixed the Miele because I want to throw silverware into the DW. But if Gary is right, then I could reconsider the Miele. It looked like the ASKO has the silverware tray on top too but without the annoying slotted utensil tray. (The difference seems to be the difference between Rome's airport and Frankfort). I want an all refrigerator column so I am looking at the Thermador. I have a full freezer in our shed 10 feet away from the kitchen . (We are cattle ranchers). So all I need inside is an ice cube maker for my smoothies. But maybe a small freezer drawer for frozen fruit for said smoothies, a couple frozen pizzas, and of course the Ketel One Vodka. (No more kids at home). Could put the 18" Thermador freezer someplace though. Other columns are Lebherr, Viking. So advice on columns? And what about beverage centers? I looked at Marvel and Viking. Yikes. My biggest problem is a separate convection/microwave. Every 10 years, it seems, we are warned of the dangers of microwaves and cancer. Is a combo convection microwave good for making that extra dish for Thanksgiving and parties? Politically I'm trying to buy as much American and local as I can (local guy making our stainless steel sink), but the next best thing are European manufacturers who have union workers who make decent salaries, not slave labor. I have to decide by tomorrow and I'm still a tad confused.

I'm gonna put my 2 cents in here. I opted for a sub-zero fridge which I love, it does a good job at keeping things cold ha ha ha. I don't know about your future plans, but around here at least when selling, people look for sub-zero fridges and basically other brands don't matter. Real estate listings often include "sub-zero fridge" in them. I assume it is usually because it's associated with a high quality kitchen and it's instantly recognizable. I would also suggest them because I had a small problem with it when it first arrived, and they have 24hour customer service which is great. Is SZ/Wolf still running that promo where if you buy $xxxx.xx worth of product, you get a wall oven or something thrown in, or like a few hundred dollars off? They were doing that when I bought my appliances. Miele DW would be a good compliment to that package.

Whether it is electronics or the blue enamel, if it doesn't work, don't promote it as a benefit and take it off until you get something that does work. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened to these customers." No one knows how many have this problem except Wolf. From this forum, we know it has been ongoing for 10 years and some posters have had as many as 3 go bad not to mention one of the lawsuits mentioned a multiplicity of failures for one family. They were also talked into spending more money with Wolf to upgrade with the idea it would not occur and it still chipped. That has happened on this forum too. I feel if Wolf was sincere and it was truly a rare occurrence, they would upgrade the appliance at no additional cost for the inconvenience it causes and in at least one case someone cut their hand on the shards. Just so you know, I ordered an entire suite of top of the line Thermador appliances in February 2021. In November 2021, I received the steamer double oven and in December I received the tower refrigerator. According to the store salesman and the thermador salesman the dishwasher, coffee maker cooktop and freezer were due to be shipped, but theyve been saying that since October of 21. Thermador will tell you its a 6-8 month delay but take it from me, that is not true. Plan for upwards of a year with poor communication from Thermador as they continue to push and sell appliances that will not be delivered within their own generous estimates. The induction cooktop was the newest dillemma, they are unable to source components and the word was that they were going to pause the manufacture, but that problem I think was resolved. I do like the steam oven but I have no opinion about quality. There are many opinions about quality and the difficulty on securing service on their Instagram. They do however make it a habit of blocking any critical voices. I would not recommend until they can get their crap together and deliver what we paid for. Dont buy Thermador until they correct their supply chain woes. Do not believe that you will be the lucky one who will receive their appliances in a timely manner. They do not care, instead of catching up with their orders, they keep promising and not delivering.
