Anyone Have Advice on Leather Sofa By Maiden Home?

I’m seriously thinking about The Carmine sofa in the swan pebble leather. I would like to hear from anyone who has purchased one and their opinion and experience with the company. Photo of sofa below.

I've spec'd Maiden Home on multiple occassions. Most often the Varick and Dune when it comes to their sofas (have experience with the their thompson bed and some of the dining tables/stools too!)

Overall they consistently delivery a very high quality, well made luxury product. I've spec'd the tuscan leather a few tiems and its a very high quality leather from Moore and Giles - they dont offer any real entry/level mid-tier leathers so you can feel great about the company.

Service wise on the one occasion there was a transit damge issue, they made it right (you call them and someone actually picks up the phone!) so been very happy with their service. As a designer, hard to find high quality original design, with actual high quality product (they make in north carolina). hope this helps - overall we love working with them and highly recommend.

"Only thick, dyed-through leather hides will stand up to the test of time." So true. Many places have leather which is actually very thin since they shave it off in layers. That's why so many couches look stretched out. We purchased our leather one from JC Penneys. On sale. It a cordovan (brownish burgandy) color. At the same time, we got Flexsteel and Broyhill couches which were not cheap. The Flexsteel frame got wobbly and the fabric shredded. The Broyhill is looking worse for wear and has a slipcover. The leather is holding up great with only occasional wiping. We have 4 normal kids and 2 messy adults. The shape of the cushions is still looking good. I will never buy anything else again. The better the quality the leather the better it will hold up. Don't fall for a salesman's speech. Read up and decide what will work for you. I have a friend with microfiber and she's "OK" with it. I ordered the Ludlow almost one year ago now. I [140lb F] sit on the right side every day, I've been very careful not to sit in the center and I flip the cushions often. I wanted to love this thing but after less than 1 year, I'm looking forward to replacing/reupholstering the 2 cushions because I have to put a foam pillow under them to keep from rolling in when I sit down. The $800 sofa in the man cave, that gets used and abused, is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately, I would not buy Maiden Home again.

Ordered a warren sofa in bourbon leather that was ready to ship. really nice sofa, comfortable and seems high quality will see how it holds up over the next few years but so far so good and would recommend. was nervous sight unseen but reviews of co are great so we took the leap.

I [140lb F] got the Ludlow, which is very similiar to the Carmine, almost 1 year ago. I sit on the center of the right side cushion every day. Believe it or not, I've always been very careful about not sitting in the center of the couch and I flip the cushions regularly. However, it started sagging after about 6 months, Now, I have to use a foam pillow under the two cushions at the center to keep from rolling into the center when I sit down. I am the only person who uses this sofa. The $800 sofa in the man cave that gets a lot more use and abuse is still in excellent condition. I do like the Sunbrella upholstery but, I would not buy this sofa again.
