Less is more a really god greedo . I love the simplicity of what you have The art is the star if you have plan to add flowers they should always be fresh but I woulf not do them there .

I think your current setup is perfect.

You’re best bet is to experiment, but suggest a small lamp (will be lovely to have art highlighted at night) and a few unique brass pieces feeling like a collection - found ones below on Etsy.

I really like celery's mockup with the dark paint. but I don't like the flowers, lamp, etc. because it blocks too much of the painting.

I like the way you have it simple, but I would get something larger and perhaps longer, then just put something like potpourri in it, or nothing at all.

Agree with @Kelly Jones that the black paint and a low piece of something is enough.

Too many of these ideas make the area look crowded and block the very beautiful, colorful painting.

That is such a great table and painting! Please consider keeping everything as is but move the gold bowel to the right and on the left add a black vase with white phalaenopsis orchids that bow to the right and lead the eye to the painting. This might look even more elegant if the niche was painted a dark charcoal as others have suggested.

Because the table and painting (which I agree would look better lowered) are so blingy, I thought of a piece that is beautiful without bling, something like the Eames bird sculpture.

In any event, I personally wouldn't repeat the gold for the object and think the object should be interesting in its own right. Maybe if you painted the wall, the table and the (lowered) painting would be enough on their own.
