Sconces would be my first choice, but they won't fit even if I replace our wall mirror with two 24" wide mirrors for each sink because we have recessed medicine cabinets that are built into each side wall that are hinged near the corners. I'm trying to replace the old medicine cabinets anyway. Comments (1)My tile installer said that it is possible to remove just one tile and replace it. I assume, therefore, that you could remove one row of tile if you had to in the case that removal of the counter top damaged a bit of your back splash. Just guessing, though....See Moreremove or keep.
Comments (3)Almost looks like that area was all part of the stairway at one time, and something has been remodeled and changed. I would want those steps to the weird area removed and everything be level with the main floor, however, you need to check from underneath, if that can even be done. There may be a reason it was left that way. That short dividing railing, should go all the way to floor.
