Aidan - Thank you very much for responding, and for your input and advice! The stringers are precuts and are equal measurements. However, they appear off because they have literally just been placed down in the vicinity of where they'll be located. I had just put them down in approx rise and location to know how much I was excavating away from old raised treebed. Didn't get to grading/leveling/measuring yet as regards to precise locating of stringers, and risers I'll attach to contain. And at that point I'll have to cut apart that 2x8 behind it and attach so steps get filled as one piece with porch pour. Good idea about the diagonal stakes. I will do that. I'll use some extra 2x's that I have and shape a diagonal brace support at several spots spaced around the forms, thanks.

We have an enclosed sun room (Florida room) which we tiled with porcelain tiles. Former owners used marine grass/carpet over concrete to hide the leaks coming from the roof and walls (long story). Needless to say, we gutted the room, and tiled the floors. Since this room isn't heated and is pretty much a screened-in patio area we used a thinset approved for outdoors. We had to use alot of bags of it too because the concrete flooring was uneven and we had to grade it away from the house in case the roof and/or walls leaked again. In the end, I think the generous amount of thinset also helped the tiles to stick better. So far so good. I would post before/after photos, but I don't know how to attach them.

Either way minimum slope is 1/4" per running foot. The 1/8" would be better than nothing. But to do it right.... That said, being you're only an inch under the door, not sure you have enough room to do the 1/4" per foot. One other thing you need to think about though-- is flashing up the wall and under the door. even something like Grace Ice and Water Shield. Otherwise you may still have problems.
