This is too late for the OP, but for anyone else wondering: the white does not look at all plastic-y or cheap. It has _very_ subtle flecks of grey, and a matte finish. I have a super single that has been here for almost exactly a year now, and it looks as it did when installed. I cook a lot, and we drink coffee and red wine. No bleach is used in this kitchen, and nothing has stained it; a little scrub with baking soda takes care of anything. It helps that I use the Blanco sink grid (minimizes pots banging on base and sides), and that the faucet has a pull-down sprayer. You the cook are the person who's going to experience the sink up close and personal, as much as or more than any other appliance in the kitchen, and about a bazillion times more than any guest. So if white is the right color for you, Silgranit is a much more forgiving (and easier to install) surface than enameled cast iron. Will upload a pic of my sink soon. It's a drop-in / overmount, exactly fitting the cutout of the horrible, ancient, chipped enamel double sink that it replaced. Maybe the fact that it's surrounded by 1963 red Formica countertop with stainless edging makes it look less cheap by comparison . But in this kitchen, beauty is as beauty does, and the white Silgranit is a pure pleasure to work with.

Sorry, for the late reply. I just saw this. No, we've had so many other issues come up with the build that have required all my attention, I haven't had time to focus on this. I do plan to use 30"-36" sinks. I will let the final cabinet layout dictate the sink sizes, so long as we are in that range. If I have an extra 3" of wasted space, I'll go up in sink size, or if I need a few inches for the trash can, I'll go down a couple inches on the sink. The main thing I haven't decided on yet, is whether they'll both be apron sinks or one apron and one under mount. Or, one stainless steel and one fire clay/ceramic/etc? Oh boy, I guess I have a little more left to decide than I thought! I think lead time and prices will point in the right direction on material! LOL! @vevmom, if your island is 10' long, I think the 33" sink will work nicely. That is still less than 1/3 of your island. I think bbtrix's photos above are great for helping to visualize this. (Thanks again bbtrix!) That island is 8' long with a stages 45. You'll have 2 more feet of island, plus a smaller sink. Let me know what you decide.

Stacy, I have the Akurum line which had the split top drawer standard. It can be done by mounting a divider to attach the rails to. That is how I do the individual trash pullouts under the sink (see the under sink photo I posted earlier) . I dont necessarily think split drawers are an advantage because you lose about 3 1/2” storage. I like the off-white Bodbyn. It’s not yellow in my kitchen which does have warm lighting @ 3000K and lots of wood which causes it to photograph with a yellowish cast. Look back at my daughter’s kitchen to see how the Bodbyn looks next to bright white subway tile. She has warm lighting too. Also, Ikea has a new door, Akstad that is bright white. Hope you find something you like.

TryKobi Tools. I am not a fan of the company's Geyser faucets (uncertified and illegal to sell in the U.S.), but their Ticor sinks are of good quality and have hoards of accessories. Not black, though. This one sells for about $650.00 (not including the accessories).
