I hear ya perkladd! I think I'm obsessed with clematis. I also have blue ravine & ramona. And I recently purchased sweet autumn, helios, avante garde, princess diana, teshio, fireworks, asao, miss bateman, multi blue and another niobe. Of course I have no idea where I'm going to put these but I'll find a place :)

Delta are you sure we don't live in the same house?! I had this great plan for using blue in my bedroom along with pops of black in our new house, but ever since we painted the master bedroom 2 years ago I've never been quite sure about the vivid color. We live on the water so I've been telling myself all along that it can really work, all the while hunting everywhere for the right bedding. My only thought was to go with a bright lime green, but that just seemed too young and all white just wouldn't work with two shedding dogs! I've also looked at khaki bedding but it all seemed so blah to me unless you do the tone on tone thing. I'm anxious to see what you end up doing. I'm so overwhelmed at this point that I told my husband I may just paint the walls in there white. I love an all white room with maybe some off white bedding and I'll just deal with the dog hair on a daily basis. I just wish I had decided this a few months ago because we had to re-paint part of one wall in there because of the new windows! I kept saying to our painter (who is also a friend) "should I use something else?" I had even put some samples on the wall and he kept saying "well maybe you need to just go all out and commit to the color and really do a tropical theme." At the time I thought I could, and there are still days when I wake up and just love the color or see it in a magazine and think...wow see they used it, but I think if there is nagging doubt it's your gut telling you to move in a different direction. Let me know what you end up doing, I can't wait to see and it will motivate me to do something as well. I would get a chip of BM Spectra Blue 2049-50 BM Bird's Egg 2051-60 BM China Blue 2052-60 BM Polar Sky 1674 BM PF-35 Tidewater BM 0667 Maritime Blue BM 0675 Thunderbird The color is beautiful! I hope you find a good match. All my picks are at the mercy of my computer monitor. If you really like it, you might print a picture of it and let the paint store match it for you. Good luck!

If you want some color and interest in the dining room, I would think about changing what is over the buffet and getting a marvelous piece of artwork. Either one large piece or a trio, that goes to the height of the door frame. I would also change what is in those cabinets to make for a more interesting display in terms of color, shape and texture. For example, on the left, you have all white objects, it looks like serving pieces or bowls, all lined up in a row. This is a snooze. If you do these two things, you may not feel the desperate need to paint those cabinets.
