Is there a way to private message someone on Houzz? I'm often wanting to get opinions from specific people and would like to know if there is a way to contact them.

You are able to send direct messages to other users who have those settings enabled. You can click to view the user's profile, then click Send Message. They do need to check it. And most people have not enabled messaging-- I just looked at several of the HD regulars' profiles. I bet they're not even aware of it. You'll get an email saying you have a message. Otherwise there's no notification on GW itself to show you have a message. But it's not fool-proof--I had a month-old message that I never got an email for.

Click on the profile of the person you would like to send the message to. That's where the message option is. There are some bizarre Houzz rules on who you may or may not PM. Something like you both have to be following each other, unless the recipient has enabled the 'allow all messages' feature.
