I wouldn’t paint the gutters espresso brown unless the roof and/or the siding is dark brown. Doing that would highlight your gutters - not a good plan. Window trim - same goes.

Remove the shutters on the wide downstairs window as they are obviously fake. (Shutters should appear to function for their true purpose -to cover and protect the windows.)

Could the porch post be beefed up? Looks undersized.

The gray paint doesn’t go with brown doors and orangey brick, so I’d paint over the gray for sure. If you aren’t painting the brick, the brick is the DRIVING FACTOR for all your exterior colors. Choose a paint in the brown/tan/beige/orange color family.

Thanks! I will remove the shutters! I was thinking of doing that and have the vinyl beige! Then the beige, dark brown and brick will all flow better. I will beef up the porch too! May I ask what a good color for the brick would be if we go that route? Good thing I went with a dark brown accent color since vinyl can be changed!

I would pick one of the lighter colors in the brick, for the siding. The post definitely needs to be made much larger. Looks spindly right now. Since you seem to really want the dark brown,, then try the dark brown on eves, and trim. Is your roof dark brown? Its hard to tell from the picture. Once painting is done, landscaping really needs to be done.

Much cheaper to simply paint the siding - it actually holds paint really well and you will have way more color options. Lovely house, nice updates!!!🙂

I think you want shutters, although the current ones are a bit small. You want a warm color for the siding. It's hard to comment on the landscaping before spring. You can prune the tree. The plantings under the window look skimpy. I'd put in some evergreen shrubs, preferably flowering broadleaf evergreens like Mt. Laurel and Rhodos, and pull the current plants forward.

You want to pay attention to the color of your house vs, the color of the garage doors. If they are too close, as in Celery's pic, they might look like a failed match, rather than a planned contrast.

I really appreciate the comments! Writing it all down! I will do a lighter taupe beige to contrast against the garage door/front door. I will get samples and then post here. I really love all the ideas.

I have a nice stone beige color that will probably look nice. Has beige undertones. I really like warm beige, stone and grey colors. Again, can’t thank you all enough! I was nervous posting and you all have given great insight.

Removing shutters and added house numbers. Painting post tomorrow and having our siding professionally painted in 3 weeks a pretty taupe beige. Wanted to show updates.
