Help with window treatments

I need help with window treatments for the 2 windows outside of the TV. My kitchen flows right into the living room and I'm not sure if I should put up the same curtains as the ones on the patio door.

No to panels on those windows. The console overlaps the sill on the right window so panels would be in the way. I would do a faux roman shade.

Aktillery's advice is excellent. Not only will it provide more light control, placement at the ceiling draws the eye up, making the room feel taller and more spacious. A room-darkening shade mounted outside the frame (use wall anchors) will provide best coverage. There are hundreds of choices of panels, from light sheers to heavy tapestry. It's okay if they hang behind the bed, it will look nice with or without a headboard.

Hunter Douglas makes a couple different shade product lines that come in co-ordinating fabrics/colors in both a horizontal and vertical version. These vertical options are not going to be the traditional PVC clanky, vertical blinds most are used to. You can get soft shades like Duette® Honeycombs, Skyline® Gliding Panels, or Luminette® Privacy Sheers. All these vertical products come in a horizontal version as well. If the windows had been treated as one when they were being trimmed out, without drywall in between them (and beefier trim all around!), you’d have a much easier time deciding on a window treatment. Fortunately, this can easily be done now: Now you have ONE (double) window that can be treated as such! You could also make it a “triple” window:

Mix and Match right next to each other does not work in my opinion. Use the same style of curtains you have, install the rod the same height. Take the clock down so you can push the curtains away from the TV to one side. Do not make them the same length- keep them as a curtain for windows. Done.

We do not sell drapery or curtains, but this seems to be the most refined way to cover the windows. Best of Luck.

Your saying to have the curtains the length of the window so the bottom will hit at the window sill? Also, should I use 1 panel or 2 panel curtains on each window?
