I have the same model, now laying there apart. I specified the exact part # for the traction cable at a dealer, got the parts manual for my serial # online. But the old cable had a ball at the end that retained it in the spring. The new one has like an "S" curve at the end of the cable, at both ends really. I see how to insert it at the handle assembly. But there is no way it will go into the spring. It looks like the one I got is made to insert into the bracket at the transmission end rather than through the spring. I sent an email to Toro, maybe they will tell me I was sold the wrong part. Oh, and there is no way that black plastic part at the housing was going to come off by sliding it through the slot into the bigger hole. I had to chisel it off, no matter because the cable was broken anyway and the new one comes with this plastic part. Well you guys and gals almost had me hooked on a Virco... That clasic is one awesome looking grill... I couldn't really afford that much, even though that is a good value for that type of grill... The Mark VIII was going to be my choice, due ot it's scaled back price... Even so... in the end I choose a Great Outdoors grill for $300, normaly priced at $400... The MV7 would have cost me $460 or so... pushing the limits of my budget... If I had been able to actuall see a Virco in person I may have stuck with the idea of buying one... I'm surprized they are not selling the Virco grills in places like Lowes, Home Depot, and Menard's yet... They'd probably sell like hot cakes... Anyways... thanks for all you who commented on your grills, it was extreemly helpfull in my quest for finding a quality grill at a good price... Back to your Virco talk now...

Liriodendron: I will think it over. Most of the time we throw everything in the DW so it's only problematic on the holidays. I will try to do some sort of mockup tonight with the laundry sink where we're washing dishes to get a better idea of what it will be like. David: Thanks; that might make a very good home for the KA mixer. Diana: DWs which have electronics that come on when opened are a problem. If you can disable that they're usually okay but really strict people will check with Star-K or another authority before purchasing. F&P used to be certified but now I see it's not the Star-K list anymore. :-( The Rubbermaid tubs in the shower is a brilliant idea! WRT the corner pantry area, I am now waffling between two solutions: 1. Build a pantry unit with 24" base cabs and 12" cabinets above that appear to sit on the counter. When opened, there would be space at the bottom for appliances and coffeepot but space for dry goods and glasses above. The fridge will stick out like a sore thumb next to it but I can live with it till it breaks and then replace it with a counter-depth model. Build a step-in pantry similar to natal's in this thread: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg0802070524922.html I could build it 30" deep but would have to make it shorter to allow the wall oven run to be the maximum length because otherwise it will be too short to be useful. And I will have a backup pantry at the base of the stairs for less-used items. Other less feasible idea would be to run the step-in pantry as far as it can go, leave the DR door in its original place (near the chimney on the bottom right wall, where the wall oven run is going) and have an 11' run to work in wall ovens, baking space and servery. Turned it over and over in my head but couldn't really come up with a configuation I liked. I'm really torn between a cabinetry pantry that would give me counter space and a perfect coffee spot, but look a little silly next to the 30" deep fridge and a step-in pantry which would give me more food storage (and save money on cabinetry!) but feel a little tight. I think I'm leaning toward the former--what do y'all think? It would look less silly at 24" as a freestanding piece which could work since I'm going for an English look anyway. Hubby is feeling better this morning he says. Thinking maybe pancreatitis attack. It happens with the surgery he had. And yes I do keep a running journal of issues between visits. Not as detailed as it used to be but I guess I am going to have to do more of that. It is very helpful. I was given up for adoption as a baby so was not raised by my birth family. I found my Mom when I was 32 and father shortly after but he denied me for 14 years. Finally he agreed to the DNA test and he was 99.42% positive to be my father. But he was not a very nice person and his sister and her kids were not willing to be friendly so I let it go. Funny I salvaged photos and school yearbooks and hauled them home on a plane for them to send to them. I thought I was doing a nice thing. I called to let them know and left message on answering machine and next thing I am getting a letter from an attorney demanding all I had of THEIRS in my possession. Well Screw that. I sent the year books and a few photos and called it good. I do not think I really wanted to try harder to be friendly with a family so angry and mean. Not sure my red hair had anything to do with it.I was well into grey by the time my father accepted me as his daughter. He dies a couple of years ago but I had not spoken to him in a few years before that. It was never a close relationship. My Mom and I have a good relationship. Our 34th anniversary of my finding her was Feb 12th. We had a nice phone visit.
