Awkwardly places windows - window treatment suggestions?
Comments (18)We had Silhouettes in our last Philly house and I didn't love them. Do people not like those wood slat blinds anymore? Have they gone out of vogue? I do like the idea of a fabric blind a lot. Hopefully we can find some options that will work with the paint color. So hard!! Graywings - the paint color is Wedgewood Gray - we've used it before (with wood blinds now I think about it) and love the color. This is the 3rd house we've had a Wedgewood Gray bedroom in. We're such creatures of habit. Lol. Here it is in our Hoboken house. Do you like it with these blinds? Or not enough color?...See MoreWindow treatment suggestions for 2 - 12 ft sliding doors facing East.
Comments (9)Maddie...the table area door opens to a screened porch. So not much risk of fading in that area (maybe fading on the porch however). If I put something on the door area without the porch I will probably put a matching treatment on the table area door... i have thought about putting a solar shade on the exterior screen porch area on the beam that is to the East but didn’t follow through because I just became stymied due to uncertainty. if I had this it might even protect the area without the porch to some degree. I will get serious about this. Does anyone have a good source for exterior solar shades or should I just have the window gal look into it for me? i love the idea of an awning on the outside of the uncovered area. I wonder how deep of an awning it would take to block the morning East sun? and I wonder why I never thought of this. pics of screen porch beam for solar shade and pic of exterior door where the sun is such an issue (where awning would go). Anyone with awning knowledge, do I have room to fit an exterior awning above that door? Thanks....See MoreWindow treatment suggestions
Comments (16)What about a black out roller shade for night time privacy and window film for day time privacy. The window film will decrease the natural light but protect furniture, flooring, etc. We have this in our master bedroom, den and office. Has a nice clean look. I like things simple so decided to pick a color to match the walls but you can pick something textured, patterned, solid color, etc....See MoreWindow Treatments Suggestions
Comments (1)I would recommend some roman shades. Their are plenty different options for light filtering so I'm sure you could find some that block out enough light for you. You could even get some blackout valances that would fit the small window and provide the light filtering you need....See Moreemilyam819
