Bras from Scratch? lol
Comments (18)Hi Again Tisha, I don't think I said you shouldn't get it, but if it came out that way I DO apologize, certainly not what I meant. Of course you should get it if you like, absolutely. Personally, I didn't I know breast came in those sizes, & I can certainly understand & respect the fit considerations. I also didn't know custom bras were that readily available, so I got 2 lessons here, for the price of one ;>) !!!! I can relate to hating cup seams myself, been a pet peeve for years. I used to have a great bra yrs. ago whose cup was the smoothest, seamless semi-molded pliable cup that was fabulous, I almost cried when I heard they were being discontinued. Wished I could have bought a boat load of 'em. They were my only conscession to clothes w/ logos, which I despise (it was as embelished CD, the intials of the designer). Made me giggle to think that it would be seen by invitation only! By all means Tisha, go for it & pls. report back!!...See MoreEver Been Professionally Sized For a Bra?
Comments (29)How is it that just as I am thinking a topic, someone posts a thread about it? I used to sit at my dds ballgames and wish outloud for the other team to drop the ball and sometimes they would. At her last game I started to secretly wish and I am not kidding, like 6 plays I wished on they other team screwed up and our girls scored. When I told the other parents they told me to keep wishing. It was actually kinda weird. So with my chemo, is my mind starting to become magical or something? Hmmmmm Anyhoo, I worked at Macys back in early 90s. I was the pantyhose queen. My coworkers would get mad when a customer would not let them help because they only wanted me because I was so good. Well, except for that one lady who got really mad at me when she did not know what control top was and I was dumbfounded by her lack of ability to comprehend what it was. She asked where HR was because she wanted me fired. I told her where it was but that made her even madder. She actually bought hosiery from me. Crazy. Anyhoo, we had a fitter who was fabulous. My sis went to her and was not thrilled to learn that she was a 32A and not a B. Yes, most women are wearing the wrong bra. I am in a situation now since my lumpectomy. I knew this could happen but now it is bugging me. I think I will go see someone who specializes in this. My lump was removed just about an inch from the cleavage. So my cleavage sticks out less on the right than the left. If it was towards my armpit I could wear a pad on that side to fill the space. But this is on the cleavage side. Not sure if a pad would push me over enough to cause the cleavage to look balanced. Maybe a little pad under the breast would work? Personally it is not a big deal unless I wear a bathing suit maybe. It is just weird when I take off my top and it looks like one side is a little deflated. So off to a fitter I will go. What we go through as women....See MoreHas anyone used "Avalanche" white grout by Mapei?
Comments (41)In case this thread is still helpful to folks, we used Maipei's newer item: ULTRACOLOR PLUS MAX in Pure White. It comes in two colors (pure white and black). Advertised as brightest white on the market and it is indeed very white! We did a new shower with white subway (daltile artic white) and it looks great with this grout. We used maipei frost color on the marble floor (which looks way lighter than the maipei pamphlet shows) and the two colors and materials look nice together. Good luck grouting everyone!...See MoreBras and Breast Cancer
Comments (17)Ok,maybe I'm dumb but (yes, maybe a dumb butt too.LOL) I haven't figured out what not sweating under the arms would have to do with anything.Sweating "removes toxins from our bodies" and not having those toxins removed just because we use antiperspirant doesn't make sense. We sweat from all the pores in our skin, not just under the arms, and we don't use antiperspirant all over our bodies. Now,if we did then I might worry about the sweating/antiperspirant theory! It was my understanding that the antiperspirant/deodorant/cancer theory was because of the aluminum content and certain chemicals in antiperspirants.Who knows!! I don't wear a bra any more than I have to,not at all at home unless I have company.I could never sleep in one but did out of necessity when I was nursing babies. My mother slept in her bra till the day she died!LOL She didn't have breast cancer but did have a large cyst that was drained with a needle when she was about 50.Never had any more problems with it....See Moremorz8 - Washington Coast
