Hi gardening friends :) it’s finally spring! I am so ready for it. And am in the midst of planning new trees to plant.

I’m in love with crabapple trees! I was researching and stumbled upon cedar apple rust being a huge problem.

I’d never heard of it. And my issue is the forest behind me has at least 30 cedars. And we have four huge ones in my yard right near where I wanted to plant my crabapple!

I’ve read that there are resistant ones but I’m guessing that doesn’t mean it is fool proof. So my question is, should I just not plant one? Because I have so many cedars?
