Hi, Norma, try www.photobucket.com Free pic hosting, and seems to be more reliable than some of the other services out there. I can't remember a time when the site was unavailable. One piece of advice is that you should create albums right off the bat. If you try to organize photos later, your codes will change and any pictures you've posted up to that point will turn to red x's. When you generate the image-code with photobucket, you are given several choices (depending on the type of messageboard where you're posting). The top two codes work best for gardenweb - the first is a clickable thumbnail, which is nice and discreet; the second is full size. Let us know how it works out! Josh

It's best to have a decent photo editing software and add your printing with the editor. Photo Shop, Photo Shop Elements, Paint Shop Pro--or you can download Serif Photo Plus for free. It will take a little practice but with these editors you can choose a font, a size, a color and then add your text anywere on the photo you like. First size your photos so that you won't need to crop off anything after adding the text. Next add the text. Then Snapfish or Kodak or any photo finishing shop can print the photos and the text will be included. I did a short posting on adding text to photos with Serif a long time back. Gloria, I think that photo's DO have to be on photobucket or one of the hosts for images. Others have much more knowledge of this sort of thing but GW seems to be fairly limited in what you can put in this here "Message:" box. Apparently, it's just these "a href" codes with these "'s." I can't quite demonstrate it or GW feels compelled to slap something between one ">" and the other. It isn't difficult, at all, to use photobucket. And, if you don't want to open an account, it's even easier to use Tinypic.com. I don't think you should be worried about using that quick service since it's owned by photobucket. Click their "browse" button, find your picture, and then upload.
