Sort of, just a paint chip, but it came off very warm, almost yellow, but I can look at it again

Maybe your lighting is the problem . Cahange all the bulbs to LED 4000K then test colors . Awarm light creates a warm yellow glow .I think you need to see what works with the counter for sure.

Thank you for these, white was definitely not my first choice, but I believe our entire kitchen (about 32 doors/drawers) will make any color a bit much, and with so many doors, afraid it'll be too dark or get old over time. We considered doing a dark green on bottom and a white on top, but that feels quite trendy and we prefer a more timeless look. We are open to mushroom/off white colors and will likely paint the walls and add decor to bring in more character. The oven and microwave will be replace with stainless sometime this year.

Yikes, don't paint the cabinets. They are the best of your kitchen. Paint the walls the color of the glass tiles. Try B.M. Ice Formations in eggshell finish.

Try Snowbound by Sherwin Williams. I put it on cabinets in 2 kitchens and love it.

light gray green is your best bet for actual "color" ..there's quite a range in that family so bring home some sample paint cards and note the various ones in your space. I would pursue this as I think you have to work with floor and counter with care and this is where to start.

If you want a look that is more timeless, as well as current - I suggest looking in the taupe family, for your cabinet color (if you have to paint them... because right now wood cabinetry is back en vogue; so painting your current wood cabinets is not necessarily an upgrade). But I think a taupe is going to have more staying power, as we move into the future - versus the greens, blues, etc - as those colors are less neutral and so much more taste specific. Grey is neutral - but many folks are over grey at this point; and there is also even some backlash to the all things grey decorating blitz that reigned for a number of years. You would need a very cool white to work with your granite and backsplash; if you get the wrong (warm) white - leaning into yellow - everything will clash and look off. You have to go cool on the white - and that coolness will, as already noted, make your space very chilly. Warm and cool colors can work together; and in your case, I think a taupe could possibly tie in better with your other cool elements, as well as your flooring - versus a warm white or a more yellow based beige, etc.

If you go with white - this is along the lines of the white you will need and the (general) look you will get.

I agree with changing out the orangey looking cabinets. I’m not really liking them either. Especially in this context. Painting cabinets is challenging as well. Because that could go out of style quickly. I’m not entirely sure white is as timeless as people think it is given how overused it’s been over the past decade..

the taupe idea above is quite nice and might offset those granite counters. If you want something truly timeless, you might consider having them re-stained a less orangey color—a more neutral brown. Here are some examples.

Well, I have a bedroom set that color. I don't like yellows and oranges either. I hate them. But that bedroom set taught me a lesson. I put green and cream with it and it looks great. I add eggplant and garnet, and it looks great. I put cobalt blue with it and it looks great. Those cabinets will sing with any bold cool color. Having said that, you still may hate them. I get it.

Thank you so much for all the input. I certainly considered restaining, but having trouble finding anyone to help with that, so nixing that idea (plus hubby isn't a fan). I personally am not a huge fan of white, but it seems with these countertops and backsplash to be the only option. I tested Classic Grey, but in mid afternoon, it is WARM, too warm. We got a sample of 25% lighter as advised below in the picture and it has a pink tone to it. (Southern facing kitchen is ROUGH). So far we like White Diamond, but in some lights it seems to be too stark with the granite. Is that a thing? We are going to sample Vanilla Milkshake. I was also considering Icicle and Cloud Cover. The latter three seem to be too similar to sample all of them. What would you guys recommend? Are we on the right track?

It's very difficult on a computer to be precise with colours. As an example, simply look at the photos you've provided and see the difference in the backspash colour of the tiles.

I'm proposing below SW Midful Gray which seems to be similar to some of the colours in your quartz and somewhat similar to your backsplah tile (in some photos it's better than others. I think such a colour (or similar) would be more interesting than white. Then you can pick a white paint colour for your walls. Buy some large corrugated boards at a dollar store, paint 2 coats, and walk around the room at different times of day with your sample boards.

is that actually an indigo shade in the counters? I'd probably do navy lowers and white uppers . so hard to tell until lighting is adjusted if you are doing that first. counters look cool with various grays /navy ...... and you say ?tan? backsplash ....but does not look that way. Probably looks cooler because of the counter. I dont think I'd do all white kitchen. Navy would look better with floor and counter/ then pick the shade of white for uppers.

Take a look at SW pearly white. It is warm with no yellow undertones. It reads gray undertone in some lighting and almost taupe in others. We paired SW Pearly White perimeter cabinets with SW Anchors Aweigh on the island.

herbflavor, no, there is no indigo, they are black and various shades of tan/cream/taupe, a few random patches of green/turquoise (but you have to really look for them). The box says tan, but they definitely look more gray, occasionally bluer on bright and sunny day. I definitely considered the two tone cabinets, don't want to do trendy, just what's good for the space. All white isn't my favorite (3 kids - messy, yuck on maintenance!!!), so I'll definitely look into some taupe shades. My concern is if they'll provide enough contrast with the backsplash, I don't want it looking super monotone.

BM Simply white. (more on that one below). It's a nice neutral that leans a bit warm, but no yellow.

I asked for Simply white (which is what the color of the crown is) but I believe they told me they went one shade whiter since they used a pre -cat laquer

I hope you fill the holes on your cabs so you can get new hardware. that current nickel modern style handle is way over used and really doesn't work.

The lighter warm griege tones would be a nice option. you could even do the lowers or if you have an island, do the two tone. With my kitchen, I did Wrought Iron on my island

Some other accessory options. If you want nickel, try the Koofizo handles in the middle, or the black is Cosmas on amazon. The black brushed or polished nickel would also look amazing w/your granite.
