FYI - they shouldn't be taken off until the seed capsules are brown and beginning to open.

Since they are off, Keep in dry container and see if they will finish ripening. As stated, should be brown and starting to open. I planted mine in a take home container from the restaurant and they did well.

Nice. I have a variety of seed grown cactus pups in incubation, as well. Awesome watching them develop. Yes, I'm aware seed pods should be allowed to develop on the stalk. The pod photo was taken weeks after the others. The stalk was completely dry and brittle, and the wind was blowing the pods away. There were only 3-5 seeds in each pod anyway. This post was primarily to share how well the aloes are doing. They are gorgeous.

Mine are suffering out in the basement waiting for spring warm weather to arrive. One started to bloom. Shame it does it in the house instead of outside where the insects could pollenate it.

Those above seedlings came from pods from last summer and was in pod for months before planting them. They are hybrid small growing types with many bumps and spines. Some are turning red and some remains green.
