Louis-Philippe of France Louis-Philippe (aka Philippe Egalite or the bourgeois king) of France (1773 Â 1850) was King of the French from 1830 to 1848 in what was known as the July Monarchy. He was the last king to rule France, until being overthrown by the revolution of 1848. I thought there was a red China rose named Louis Phillipe that was very popular in the South and still to be found in dooryards all over. I never heard the name applied to Celsiana, though anything is possible. The Orleans family were more flexible (or libertine if you didn't like them) than the Bourbons, the decapitated older royal branch of the family, a fact that could have helped increase their popularity here in the states. The Bourbon Count of Chambord missed being put back on the throne in 1870 because he refused to accept the tricolor flag (white being the Bourbon color, unlike the namesake rose, which is pink) and the patriotic French people refused by that time to give it up. He was a stick-in-the-mud about protocol and everything else, he and his supporters, as Tallyrand (or someone) famously put it, having learned nothing and forgotten nothing during their exile. I, too, would suggest using USPS Priority Mail or Next Day Air... and pay the extra dollar and change for a delivery confirmation! Write DO NOT FREEZE - LIVE PLANTS on the box, and you shouldn't have any problems. The Post Office is very good about getting Next Day Air and Priority packages to their destinations on time... especially if they have Delivery Confirmations. I've never had a problem. I haven't sent or received a package with warm packs yet... I think if the delivery is fast enough, they're not really necessary. The key is making sure the person at the destination can accept the package as soon as it arrives! We always track our packages online... I always send things so that a tracking number is part of the deal. I rarely use regular mail... always Priority or Next Day Air w/delivery confirmation. The bottom line is... it's winter in half the country right now... and anything CAN happen. Packages do get lost or delayed, or end up in strange hubs for redistribution and shipping... it's always best to wait until the weather is mild... but if you can't, it's best to pay for the fastest shipping method. And make certain to coordinate with the recipient so they're home when the package arrives! It's usually through sitting on a cold porch or in a cold mailbox that plants freeze... or in the case of summer, bake! Sending surprise packages of live items in inclement weather is not the smartest thing to do. Let common sense be your guide!

Strongly recommend you familiarize yourself with the latest shipping regulations to assure your products are in conformance. There are a few things to remember when shipping lithium batteries inside the United States. The regulations may vary depending on if you ship the battery alone, with a piece of equipment, or inside a piece of equipment. UPS follows 49 CFR for both ground and air shipments, however, FedEx follows 49 CFR for ground shipments and IATA regulations for air shipments. Is anyone buying from China? I would not ship cargo...........period! Check out Delta for counter-to-counter shipping and US Airways. Delta counter ships the pets with luggage and during layovers (something you don't want) and plane changes they'll keep the pet in their air cooled office vs sitting on the tarmac. The pet will be the first off the plane and the last loaded. Note in the link below that they will not accept pets between May and Sept. US Airways has a good history of shipping but they may ship cargo only.......not sure. You want to get the most direct flight possible, with no plane changes. If you, and the person receiving the pet, have to drive to a different city to get better plane connections then so be it.
