Can't wait to see the finished product :) I can tell by the cabinetry that it's going to have a contemporary feel/look. Everything seems to be contemporary/modern (what's the difference?) or vintage. I wonder if they regret the SS sinks? itltrot, oh come on! You can just white out the toilet if you have to. I'd love to see your husband's shop bathroom. My husband has a shop/barn out back. It's two story. He's making the top into a loft. The shower (which I think is going to be downstairs under the stairs) is going to be sheet iron and rock.

I just finished painting my spare bedroom putnam ivory this afternoon, and I'm not sure what to think of it... It kind of looked like flesh toned bandaids ( western exposure - setting sun). Hopefully I love it in the morning :) I've had a heck of a time choosing tan colors. Painted the kitchen & dining room BM wilmington tan one evening, and it looked awful the next day in full sunlight - like a butterscotch pudding explosion. I repainted it BM lenox tan and really like it. It's beige/tan/gold during the day and takes on a greenish cast at night which actually looks good also. Then I painted the mudroom & hallway BM shaker beige (on the same strip as lenox tan) but found it had pinkish tones in the daylight. I was thoroughly frustrated. Went back to the store and the very nice BM (Benjamin Moore) man printed out the formula for shaker beige and for 50% lenox tan. Almost identical, except the shaker beige had a tad more red tint. Went home with a gallon of 50% lenox tan and repainted the mudroom & hallway. It looks really similiar to the shaker beige but without the pinky cast in the evening. Next project to tackle - the master bedroom. Sheesh, can't wait to see what winner (not) I pick for the first coat, lol. I really can't do a pendant or chandler over the nook table, the drawing is not really 100% accurate, there just isn't that kind of room. I'll have to snap a better picture! marcolo, I do like #2 - and it was /is an option. I don't care for the strips on #1. I still think school house lights would be age appropriate - at least close enough that unless you know period fixtures and time-lines.. you'd never know! I do like #3 too, may use that in a bath or hall - thanks for the pictures! dianalo, previous owner had a fan, I don't know... I didn't love it, but something to consider still! circuspeanut, you're right - I really need to find both the pendant and the ceiling lights from the same manufacturer... it is important to me that the finish is the same! Here is another picture - I don't have anything better, but if you look at the picture, the center of the table would be directly under the crown molding... hoovb, I don't think we've had any pictures of your beautiful garden lately. Not to belittle anyone else's, but I identify with your garden the most since we're not that far from each other, and I deeply admire how you've creating beautiful scenes everywhere with your mix of roses and beautiful companion plants. I need some inspiration badly, and frankly I'm becoming tired of taking pictures of my garden when so few other people are posting photos. I know you probably concentrate more on your blog, and could you please post a link to that so I can bookmark it? Rosefolly, just for clarification, do you mean deep watering with a hose in addition to the drip irrigation or letting the drip irrigation run for a long time. I've noticed that roses do best if I really flood them when I'm watering; that's what encourages the new growth.
