@Abballmom @Michelle G @pamela1154 @Megan Redlich We are choosing between carpet and CoreTec Calypso Oak in a bonus room/playroom. I do love the colors and appreciate all of your photos! A couple of questions: - For those who have it on an upper level: what is the noise like below? This would be on our second story above my husband's office so I worry a bit about this, especially compared to carpet. - Is it easy to clean? Any issues with vacuum (or a roomba) scratching it? - What about scratching in general? We have a large dog...and young kids who love to push all kinds of things around on the floor :) - Are you generally still happy with your choice? Thank you so much!

I picked up a sample board at a flooring store. It’s still hard to tell with that size but better than the little square. When you are close to making a decision, you should buy 1 box and lay it around. Also - I found that Costco sells calypso oak. The website allows you to see what it looks like in your house. I ended up purchasing Noble Oak without seeing an actual sample due to time constraints. I almost pulled the trigger on Valor Oak (really liked the color), but was worried with shade variability that is hard to predict with the actual sample I had. After speaking with a Cortec rep, and sharing what it was I was looking for, I went with her recommendation for Noble Oak. Its going in a shaded basement (but with bright daylight LED recessed lighting) so Im hoping for the best! Ill post some pics once its delivered and installed (2-3 weeks)!

I just spent past 1hr almost going over that thread, believe me be patient and try to keep track of who is who and which flooring they put down, lol.  But it definitely educated me, ha.
