The more important issue is how many months of warranty will you lose by purchasing early. The warranty begins when your appliances are delivered. As your appliances are sitting in your garage "for a few months", you will lose "a few months" of warranty. If you need a repair 6 months after installation (most problems arise in first year of ownership), and your warranty has expired cause you used up the first 6 months of your warranty during storage, your repair will likely cost you more than any Black Friday savings. People are so sucked in by Black Friday, I don't get it. There will always be another sale. I have not seen that Black Friday sales are any better than Christmas sales, post-Christmas sales, Presidents Day Sales, Spring Sales, 4th of July Sales, and all the other sales that are offered throughout the year. In fact, I suspect that the frantic nature of Black Friday means people hurriedly buy under pressure, and are not getting the best appliance or the best price on that day.

You do not have to use the official installers, but I believe that you still get an extra year of warranty if you use Wolf installers (call Wolf to confirm that the extra year still exists). The Wolf installers in my area could not get to me before Thanksgiving, so they suggested that my GC install the appliances, then after Thanksgiving, the Wolf/SZ installers would came and checked the installations at their hourly rate. They tweaked some things, installed the antitip blocking for the large fridge, and gave me a tour of the appliances which was very helpful. Ended up being about half the price of the full installation. They also got me the extra year of warranty. You could call your local official installers to ask if they would do that.

Whether it is electronics or the blue enamel, if it doesn't work, don't promote it as a benefit and take it off until you get something that does work. "Coincidentally enough, I've never had a customer that experienced this chipping issue on Wolf ovens and I do sell quite a few. So I've not seen how it might arise yet the the real world. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened to these customers." No one knows how many have this problem except Wolf. From this forum, we know it has been ongoing for 10 years and some posters have had as many as 3 go bad not to mention one of the lawsuits mentioned a multiplicity of failures for one family. They were also talked into spending more money with Wolf to upgrade with the idea it would not occur and it still chipped. That has happened on this forum too. I feel if Wolf was sincere and it was truly a rare occurrence, they would upgrade the appliance at no additional cost for the inconvenience it causes and in at least one case someone cut their hand on the shards. @Jar G ”people who really care about performance tend to go to Blue Star.” Performance means different things to different people. The OP mentioned on her other thread that she wanted a built in griddle. Wolf is superior for many people because it has the infrared burner which heats more evenly. The Wolf griddle is twice as thick as BS. Wolf burner VVV This is the burner for BS. VVV Some people like the very low simmer on each Wolf burner. Anectdotally most say BS is low enough but they have never released the BTU rating on the low end for their burners so you can’t compare. Others are looking for the highest BTUs which would be BS.. The BS is designed to keep the flame within the foot print of the burner which and more to the center. This is good for stirfry but might not be good for some wide pans. The dispersal of burner ports applies heat more evenly to the bottom of the pan which is good for cast iron, steel or stainless. I have Wolf dual stacked burners and their burners work well for me. The flame flares a little more as you turn it up and I use high heat mostly on wider pans. I have mostly heavy copper and heavy aluminum which disperse the heat. Some people prefer the way one cleans over the other. Some people are just more comfortable with the fit and finish of Wolf and some like the look of BS. Each person needs to consider what is important to them.
