Should bar stools 'match' dining room chairs?
Comments (19)Jan, You know, I actually thought about backless saddle stools; there's a store in my area that carries them in various heights, and not only are they reasonably priced, but they also have some that are black distressed (with red showing through) just like my Windsors. BUT, DH has asked for backs (for comfort)... and I would like to accommodate him, if possible!!! BUT, those are a possibility. And another "plus" is that the owner of the store is a friend of mine, so I could bring them home for an evening and try them w/o any committment, and that would be nice! Oakleyok, Thanks for your post, too! I was ALSO thinking about something like that -- something totally *quirky* and just plain *fun*, like a 50's type diner stool, or a real modern kind of stool... or maybe just something with a fun and whimsical (faux, of course!) animal print seat. As you all can tell by now, I have been giving this a whole lotta thought!!! ;o)...See MoreWould love assistance choosing a rug and barstools for new kitchen
Comments (35)Terrible picture of new stools.... they are functioning fine but I'm not sure they're "THE" stools. I do have a bit if space so it's not totally necessary that they tuck under, if that makes sense. I do like that my girls can easily climb onto them... but backs might be nice too. I had some girlfriends over this week. My new kitchen functioned just how I hoped! We all surrounded the island and chatted for hours :) 2 friends whose opinions I value thought the wood on new bar stools was too dark and I should go lighter or maybe even white. Thoughts? Suggestions?...See MorePlease help me narrow down choices - dining room chairs and bar stools
Comments (21)Your place looks really rustic, reminds me of our old ski house. What do the legs on your table look like? I don't like your first chair option for your place. Depending on the table legs I think the last two chairs might be a good option. I like the turquoise stool in either that or a cream color. I like the idea of the dark stained legs because of the nice contrast they give to the pine in the house....See MoreBar stool shopping is making me want a drink
Comments (18)Oh gosh, between stools and lighting I was going crazy. Here are some I found, most offer a variety of seat colors: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/ivy-bronx-vicky-26-swivel-bar-stool-w000220447.html?piid=900681417 https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/wrought-studio-lamberson-26-swivel-bar-stool-w000246301.html?piid=754809828 https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/wrought-studio-letellier-26-swivel-bar-stool-w000886994.html?piid=168193778 https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/wrought-studio-lamberson-26-swivel-bar-stool-w000292236.html?piid=573532996 https://www.westelm.com/products/mid-century-bar-counter-stools-h2554/?pkey=ccounter-bar-stools&isx=0.0.1804...See MoreSherry Vaughn
