Hi Maggy and Cory . I really like this site . I am always logged in which I really like. Posting pics are a breeze . The only thing that I can say that's not that great right now is the actual writing just a bit slow . I posted a pic in bugs 15 I think that its right side up. It took me so long to find my password to my email . I am like Mikey not the greatest techy Lol. Your going to have a lot of drunk scale bugs or one hell of a drunk plant Cory. Hostabuff: I'm not sure if I've gotten your problem right or not, but there are two names that Houzz can have. The first name is the one they log you in with each time you enter their domain. That's the one that initially says taken if you try and use your old GW name. If you don't assign yourself a new name they will assign one to you which is usually your old GW name with a bottom line after the name followed by a lower case gw. Hostabuff_gw for example. If you want to change that name when you are on the forums themselves, you go to "Your Houzz" logo in the upper right of the screen and change it to whatever you like under your profile. That name is good on the forums, but the one Houzz assigned you will be your main log in name. They don't have a specific place (as did GW) to add zone information so as Sherry suggested I simply added that to my user name when I changed it under the profile ap......Hope that helps.....Maryl

Just wanted to post a little update! We have had the entryway fixed! We used Matt Nelson with Nelson Builders and my husband worked alongside Matt. We decided to bump the entire entry out 3 1/2 feet. We saved a lot of money having my husband do a lot of the work and it ended up not being too expensive. It has made a HUGE difference! Even from the front of the house, you can actually see the front door now (before it went way in). Our original builder never got back with me (Miller Construction) and actually when I wrote a review of our experience with them, he threatened me with a lawyer, said he was asking Houzz to remove the review, and when they wouldn't, he deleted his entire Houzz profile and put up a new one. For the record, my review (2 stars) was actually fair and there was nothing derogatory or offensive. It just wasn't a super positive experience. But, thankfully we got the entry fixed and it looks great now :) Pics are attached (we will be adding a coat rack above the bench!)

Mad_Gallica - thank you SOOO much for identifying the problem! It makes sense that the Your Topics feed is the problem, since I stopped being able to access the second page about the same time that transition happened. In all the discussions of Houzz problems with GW, I'd never seen that mentioned on this forum. I really appreciate you bringing that to my attention with a relatively manageable fix, even if that means renegotiating around Houzz's clumsy front end to find the Roses and Antique Roses forum. Emily, I appreciate the alternate links and I was able to access the second pages from those links as well, just not when using the Your Topics page that is supposed to be our starting place to filter out the other discussions. It's ironic that the primary innovation that was supposed to make GW more user-friendly has made it unusable for me from that format (I wonder why others using Your Topics on this forum don't seem to have the same problem). Technical support clearly didn't have information about this bug, at least not sufficiently to resolve the problem or even to indicate that this problem legitimately existed apart from my browser, and they were unable to suggest a strategy to test the assumption or a workaround as you did in your posts. We appreciate your problem solving with us on this forum, but the contrast between you and technical support/programmers for Houzz is one of the reasons we've had the kinds of reactions that Jeri mentions above. You have shown genuine signs of caring and trying to resolve some of the problems, but that has not been the case for most of the rest of the Houzz personnel. Even with your input, the things that are problems don't seem to change even this long after they've been unworkable. If it's possible for you to pass along these bugs to the programmers in ways that could get results it would be welcome, but we just don't have much confidence that you'll be able to get changes accomplished. Thanks for helping though and for being a positive presence in a sea of frustration. Cynthia
