Don't know who you have? I probably will not either. I am dyslexic and I found that this carries over to hostas too. When I had many I would often try to pair others together for color effect and I would have the complete opposite in my hands. I could have cream inside and chartreuse outer only to be holding chartreuse inside and cream margins. Little tricksters in the garden.

So if you do not know today is your day.

I am 5'1"

I plan to be at 3.3.33. We will still be showing our hostas.

These hostas are given to me by friends. They are something old and common. I have hunch of their names.

Fast grower.

Slow grower, but it getting bigger every year.

Saija is there any chance you have pics of them (at least the 1st) in flower? There are so many possibilities. The first resembles sieboldiana, it is quite variable.

bkay2000 - I am about 15 miles from Jackson, MS, so I basically have the same weather you do. The plants in the beds are from pots that I had left over from last year and a couple that I bought at a local yard and garden center this year. I have great luck with certain types in the ground, but a lot of them don't do that well. I have had great luck with Stained Glass, Guacamole, and Halcyon in the ground. undertheoaksgardener7b - I had never heard of Frozen Margarita and saw it at Lowe's last year. I think I bought it for $9.99 and it has done great. I don't think I have Penny Lane, but it could be Pilgrim. I will do some more checking on that.

We have Stone Owls here. I was lucky enough to snag this pic of one while capturing this bed for this thread. The pots were moved back into the shed until Wednesday. Hopefully, our last freezing night of the Spring. 20 days before the average. Then the cleanup and planting begin in earnest. But I thought the same thing last year. I've got an early one here - Curly Fries or Pineapple Juice, I'm confused about the ID. This bed gets full morning sun until the leaf canopy fills in. Peonies, Heuchera and a few Hosta pips. The JMs are nearly invisible. The hill really drops off at the far end and to the left.

Is the party over yet? Or can I still join? Here's some I haven't seen here yet or already forgot I saw. Alligator Alley grew so well I had to move it a couple years ago. Starting to bounce back. Yes Laurie, that is Bartzella. I found one on sale in the fall. I couldn't grow Peony in So. Cal. so when I moved to Ohio, it was near the top of the list of things to plant. Over a dozen Peonies later and I may be out of room. Although, when I find one on sale, I can't resist it and I managed to wedge two more into my garden last year (Casper and Cora Louise). Although I'd be better served being more selective. I've been thinking about removing the first one I planted - Dr. Alexander Fleming. This pic shows my first tree Peony (Houki) and JM Geisha Gone Crazy. I also found a Mountain Laurel (Kalmia) last year on sale which promptly went into a Hosta bed and even managed to bloom for me. and these Dodecatheon manage to survive under my large Maple trees. I've bought from Mr. Maple before. Strange packing for 2 trees. Maplestone had better packing the one year I couldn't find time to drive there. I have trouble keeping Heuchera alive, so I consider them multi-annuals. I also lost a Fire Alarm after only one year. I think it's a finicky one. I've had much better luck with Carnival Watermelon, so I've gotten a couple more of those. I've bought around 30 different ones, and I couldn't tell you how many I've lost, but they stick around long enough to keep me happy. Lucky for me there's a place here that sells 4" pots for ~$4. Electric Plum and Carnival Rose Granita I loved Sweet Princess while she was here. Silver Scrolls (shown in my previous post) is a survivor. And Caramel and Blondie have been with me for 5 years now. (In their 1st year)

I only have one NOID, I purchased it as Touch of Class but it isn't. I think I am dyslexic too I didn't notice the leave color was in the wrong position. I think I was waiting for it to mature into Touch of Class. Here are a few pictures from different times of year.

Paula - Love the garden center pic. I've come home like that, with the DW buried in plants. She wants to know why I have a truck but put the plants in her lap. Well I don't want them to fall over and get damaged.

Wish I could help with any ID"s above but if I can't name my own, what help am I?

I've been calling this one Royal Standard but thinking it is really Ventricosa. Ya think? Will know better when i see the floweers (if I remember).

I've had this one for many years and just called it small gold, there are a few in HL that look similar.

Another old one I've labeled as Gold Regal but ws never really sure.

One I got from a friend last year, I know it is an old and common one I just called it Vonda Lee after the gal I got it from.

I know I have more NOID's but I guess the old saying holds true for me, "I don't know what I don't know".

old_dirt I was thinking ventricosa too. Getting flower/bud pics would make it clear. Your small gold could be Gold Drop. The flowers look too pale to be Birchwood Parky's Gold.

Saija, such nice blue NOIDS!! Could your second picture be Elegans? As Laurie said, flower pictures can help ID.

Beth, as soon as I saw yours, I thought “that looks a lot like Yellow River from yesterday.” I assume I am wrong as I believe peren would have caught this right away. It’s also a very nice hosta…..

Old_dirt, yours first one is similar to one of mine. I thought it was Ventricosa until realized it doesn’t have the bell shaped flowers for Ventricosa as hosta_maker had indicated it would have. Your 2 golds are very pretty…..Peren may be right about the first one being Gold Drop. Sure looks like the ones in the HL. Could it be Francee? Again, peren is so good at ID she would have suggested these……I’m guessing! ☺️

Old -d looks like ventricosa or lakeside blackmama. the flowers are quite different from rs

royal standard are white and very fragrant.

rest maybe birchwood parkey, gold regal and francee.….maybe ….could be gold drop too …mound size would be smaller

My observation note: flower color can differ slightly with temp. ….the anthocynin in the flower tends to be stronger in cooler temps.

I had the same thought for Saija’s blue with round leaves as debra..Elegans..

Saija..does it produce lots of seed pods?..

old_dirt..I thought of Gold Drop along with Laurie and debra..I have Gold Drop but no great pics of it..

2 pics of small volunteers..

in back..small green with white margins and a small green with ruffles? piecrust edges?..are both terms proper?..

then in front..a similar small green..I love both of the little green ones but the one in front is my favorite of the two..

it occurred to me that since these hosta are volunteers maybe they aren’t named cultivars?..does that seem possible?..I’ll leave the pics anyway..

is there a cultivar that they resemble?..

I think second hosta ( slow grower) is probably Elegans. I have more in other bed and it has many white flowers. And it makes lots of seedpods. I just don’t have picture of that bigger clump of this hosta.

Debra thank you for the vote of confidence lol! I could go with LS Midnight Miss for your 1st as hosta_maker suggested. Your 2nd looks so different from the pics you posted last year. Any pics of it from this year earlier in the season? I can't recall why you doubted your third was Fragrant Blue since it is a "dead ringer" for it.

Hosta_maker and peren, I doubted Fragrant Blue because I thought the flower was different. I do already have FB and it’s flower is more striped than the other. Now that I read hm’s comment on how temperature can affect flower color perhaps that’s why????
If the shiny one is LS Midnight Miss, I am delighted, again though my flower is not as purple as shown in the HL.
In the past year, others thought that the little one is Francee as well.

Any other feedback?
