Help with accent chairs

Need advice for accent chairs. Current one 10 yrs old, stained and rough shape up close…Debating between leather wing chairs or spindle arm chairs. I love the look of both! Really want to bring leather into room for texture/classic look. If i splurge for leather chairs, will keep linen blend ottoman. If spindle chairs, will likely order a leather ottoman. Don’t mind the dog napping on couch haha!

I think a rich cream color would look very nice with the rest of the room. I am thinking something very much as the pillows in the left of your photo appear. Then if you're not totally wed to the mirror above the fireplace you can bring in artwork and some candles to pick up the cream of the chair. I assume the recliner you mentioned is in the upper right hand side (where for some reason another commenter moved a television into place.). A pillow or small throw placed on the chair can correlate to the rich cognac color of your sofa and love seat. Good luck.

If they are going to be replacing the current white chairs, why not introduce some color. I would prefer a matching pair like you have now that are totally upholstered. Pick a color and then get some pillows with a pattern of the same color or get chairs with a pattern and solid pillows for couch that pick up the same colorway. I don't think you want a brown leather next to the wood piece and TV.

While I really like the leather chairs, I wonder if you're going to unbalance the room with them. More specifically, the room currently has the light colored sectional and across it has the dark wood cabinet with the light colored chairs flanking. These chairs provide visual connection to the light sectional. If you do leather chairs, they won't have a visual connection to the sectional and at least to me, it seems like it creates imbalance in the room because you'll have pale fabric on one side and dark leather + dark wood on the other without anything connecting the two.

that is a fantastic point and i didn’t even think of the unbalance of light/dark. I did think of adding some color…thought safer bet was doing so with pillows/throws. I do love navy. Maybe Navy ones? I thought going leather/neutral would be safer bet if i change my mind color wise down the road with other accent decor etc, but you all have brought up great points-thank you!!!
