Garage and entry door colors

Working on a new home construction, and selecting garage and entry doors. Roofing and siding colors, along with front elevation are shown below. The colors are from Certainteeds mockup tool - seagrass (grey green) horizontal siding, with herringbone (off white) board and batten, with brown roof.

We think a wood look for garage and entry door would look nice, but my concern is matching. I think a medium brown, similar to the roof color would look good. I'm also admittedly terrible at color coordination.....so would love any feedback. Also open to other ideas, but I think a different color might make the exterior too busy?

They'll be different manufacturers, probably Amarr for garage and Thermatru for the entry, so should we just get as close as possible? The front door could be field stained and could probably get a clsoer match that way, but I'd prefer the factory stain option if possible.

Good to know we're on the right track!

Should we just aim for the closest color between the garage door and entry door?

Both manufacturers do mahogany grain which we like, but stain options are a bit different.

Might be a little late for you, but... We bought our front entry door from Pella. Lots of optios for customizing. I am about to order another door for the entrance to the house, from the garage. It is also Pella, with the same grain and stain color. Just different lite option. Here is our front door. Yes, replacing all windows but not the arched window. So you think it would be okay to do dark framed windows on the front of the house and white on the back?

I'm not sure what you mean by staining fiberglass. It can't take a stain the way wood can. Do you mean use a wood look color? Since there is wood right next to the doors I think it would be difficult to find the right color. For the front door, you could look at colors found in the stone. Without seeing a picture of your whole house I'm not sure whether this would work for your garage doors too or not. How close is the garage to the front door? Is there any stone close to the garage door? More pictures would be helpful.

I'd choose the garage doors first, no doubt a limited choice of color options.

I agree... you want them factory finished.

The doors can be matched much easier.... and they aren't right next to each other.

start w/the siding color first. Get samples so you have them on hand.

now start looking at the stain samples.

Ditto the roof samples. (are you sure you want that tan/brown color? a neutral charcoal would be a nicer neutral if you ever want to switch up the siding colors down the road)

here are some color combos that will work w/what you have, but you still need to gather samples

We have samples of the roofing and sidings on hand. We did consider a neutral/light charcoal, but felt like the brown brings out more of the green in the siding, while the charcoal made it look more grey.

try choosing a warmer charcoal color for the roof. not an overly cool/blue charcoal, but one w/some brown undertones.
