Help me with a dinner party theme?!
Comments (15)Or Chinese New Year, which is February, 28. It's the Year of the Tiger. Each guest can dress like their zodiac animal, and personality profiles and horoscopes can be given for each guest. Party favors can include fortune cookies presented in "take-out" style containers. If you & your friends like Chinese food, & haven't had the chance to eat it together as a group, this could be a most auspicious time to do so!...See MoreMurder Mystery Dinner Party Games

Comments (13)I wanted to follow-up after the party and thank everyone who provided suggestions. The party was a huge hit and all reports are that the food was amazing! After a few weeks of testing options for an entirely pre-made meal here is what we ended up with on the menu: For cocktail hour in the parlor we had shrimp & cocktail sauce, a cheese tray with crackers, warm artichoke dip with sourdough baguette slices, a veggie tray and bruschetta with tomatoes, garlic, basil and parmesan. For dinner we had: salad of mixed greens with red onion, candied pecans, dried cranberries and feta. Entree choices were Chicken Marsala, individual Beef Wellington served with a port mushroom sauce, or Salmon served with a lemon, caper and white wine sauce. All entrees were served with garlic mashed potatoes and roast baby asparagus. For dessert we had a 4-layer chocolate torte or a northwest berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. I rarely post, but I visit this forum often and I just want to say thank you again to you regular posters and advice givers . . .it's always much appreciated! My intention was to take pictures along the way but I was so involved in the party that I only got pic of the salad. Thank you!...See MoreA Saturday Dinner Event
Comments (10)@fnmroberts Your dinnerware staging setup is lovely and the awards are very clever. I’m so intrigued by the character names in your event that I couldn’t resist looking it up - pullman car named ”Desire” aka ”Desire Lounge”! I do hope you’ve found a full dress tux with tails to wear for your costume. Your guests will have a marvelous time with this opportunity to play dress up with 1940’s elegance. Please do give us a post party review. 🎉🥂...See Morefnmroberts
