My attention was drawn back to this thread by someone who liked an earlier post here, and I wanted to update to say that I did move forward with a Brizo articulating faucet purchase in the end and received excellent pricing during a sale at Quality Bath online. The issue with the articulating faucets falling forward has been fixed, so unless you were to order really old stock from a warehouse somewhere, all the new faucets for the last few years feature the fixed joints, and of course, Brizo faucets come with Delta's lifetime warranty. I ordered two of the Brizo faucets in the Brilliance Stainless finish which is PVD stainless steel and among the most durable of finishes available for faucets on the market today. Anything with "Brilliance" in front of the name from Brizo means that it is PVD. Note that Brizo's chrome faucets are merely electroplated, so you'd need to choose a finish that specifies "Brilliance" to get the PVD finish. The articulating faucets from Brizo that feature covered hoses, which is the style I purchased, are all newer releases and so would have the fixed joints no matter where you ordered them. Quality Bath does not stock Brizo in house, so any order you placed from them would come directly from the factory. I'm really happy with this choice and look forward to many years of longevity from the Brizo articulating faucets.

We installed a wall mounted articulated Chicago faucet in 2005 in our kitchen. It's still working. Chrome looks good as new! Here's a post from Remodelista. My faucet showed up in their Architect's 10 Go To Modern Faucets post and I think there's another forum member who has it. Jayne Michaels of 2Michaels design in New York loves Chicago Faucets, a longstanding Remodelista favorite for both kitchens and baths. “The simple, timeless design can be used in both a traditional and modern setting,” says Michaels, pointing to this Wall-Mounted Sink Faucet as an example. Michaels also reminded us that Emerick Architects used a budget-friendly Chicago Faucet (shown here) stripped of its chrome in a Seaside, Oregon, project that was a finalist in the 2014 Remodelista Considered Design Awards. “Unable to find a budget-friendly, unlacquered brass faucet (who wants to spend $1,500 for a cabin?),” they said, “we instead used a trusty Chicago Faucet design in chrome and had the plating removed. Try the Bosch Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater Tronic 3000 T 2.5-Gallon (ES2.5) We used to use InSinkErator, but after replacing six of the units in one year, we gave up on them. Poor quality. You do not need to buy the tank unit and faucet from the same company. The connections are standardized, so you can use most any faucet with any tank.

I guess because gold faucets are just no selling enough to warrant the expense My advice put the RO water through the fridge water dispensor if you have one and forget the tap on the counter and save a hole in the counter too..I could not find a wter dispense that matched my fuacet so went with as close as possible but not gold of course.Kraus makes a gold one I have Kraus faucets and I love them we had a small issue it was taken care of very quickly and the customer service was excellent .BTW I know Kraus is made in China but so are lots of Moens too
