That's a beautiful stone, and your cabs are equally as visually pleasing. I think they'll make a nice pairing. As to the cost, it's really your decision. I can say that I overspent in my kitchen for my neighborhood for both appliances and counters. I live in modest neighborhood where most kitchens are still the original late 60's-early 70's, with some having gotten new laminate or painted their dark cabs lighter over the years. This is my forever house. I cook every meal, every day. I really enjoy cooking, baking, and experimenting with new foods. For me, all of that added up to buying the best cooking equipment (appliances) I could afford with the features I want for better function. For form, I opted for expensive Carrara counters. They are stunning, IMHO. Everyday I love to stare and them and run my hands over them. Breaking the cost down over 30+ years makes it totally worth it to me. I'd do exactly the same thing again if given the chance. HTH!

appreciate you all taking the time to reply. wish i could reply to each comment individually just after each comment but unfortunately doesn't look like i can do that. @rnonwheels -flooring will be luxury vinyl plank; considered black countertops but i really like how white really brightens and opens up a room @mint design studio -my flooring might be a bit busy, but i'm likely doing simple, white 3x9 (or larger) subway tile for backsplash @rachel nye -i might consider doing all namib sky if the stone yard would refund me for the allure slab i bought. although i bought it cuz i absolutely love it, so i'm leaning more towards keeping it. don't have enough to do perimeter counters. thanks for the pic -i love it. is it a calacatta or white volakas? @sunfeather -some of the larger chunks of grey looking clouds would probably end up being removed with cutouts for sink and cooktop. i'll see if i can post a pic of the flooring. likely doing a 3x9 or 3x12 subway tile for backsplash this is the flooring we are using: and possible backsplash:

@typeandrun, thank you for the response and feedback. Just out of curiosity, was honing an option when you were making your decision. This gives it the matte look but without the texture. We are going with a dark greenisland and warm white perimeter cabinets and I really like the Taj Mahal. I just want to make sure I get slabs that are more cream than beige. That's the toughest part b/c they look so different in the warehouses than they will in real life.

Corner countertops are very challenging. It is best to avoid material with distinct patterns as matching is impossible. The installer should have advised you prior to your purchase.
