Help!!! This entrance needs help!
Comments (7)Aside from the shrubs, as is, I like this entrance. If and when your shrubs grow and fill in between them and you can trim them a uniform height just above the floor level, that will be an improvement. Perhaps you could move the shrubs closest to the railing to a bare spot between the other shrubs. Adding a pair of large planters -- one on each side of the steps -- with something to add color could improve curb appeal. There are pressed metal exterior wall decorations that might be added to the brick -- either on each side of the opening or something (for instance, a sun) above it. https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366&bih=650&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=mo5aWq3LHIfq_AbCx6y4CQ&q=image+pressed+metal+art+sun&oq=image+pressed+metal+art+sun&gs_l=psy-ab.3...3441.3954.0.6553.4.4.0.0.0.0.76.282.4.4.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.0.0....0.BYK8FJEkONU...See MoreHelp designing entryway
Comments (10)hopefully one of the architect's will draw something up for you. if you did Beverlys 2nd pic, and opened up that entire space, what would that look like on the inside? as long as you're redoing that, I hope you redo the garage doors/siding (what is that hay door at the top??) you could square off the doors Maybe make it a single door? if not, two of these, darker colors to go w/the sytle of the home bring in more modern style doors. maybe do a composite wood siding This is a cool walkway so is this one, leading to the new door entry siding option, maybe do a vertical? this is a Lauren Leiss 70's contemp. makeover. love the dark siding color w/the natural wood elements...See MoreNeed help with entryway dormer design!
Comments (5)sorry for my terrible picture just trying to explain what i mean... we have a drafting company doing the design for us, but we still need to make a decision on if we want the dormer window to be open to the entrance and find it hard to visualize how/if it would work...See MoreHelp decorating entry off garage
Comments (13)Would the pie safe fit on the other side of the sink? Would it fit on the back wall? I know it would probably block the last door of the pantry, but if you only store things that might only get used once a year in that cupboard it might work (Christmas dishes etc). If neither of those ideas work, it looks like you could move the pie safe down and closer to the sink, then you could add a row of hooks for jackets. Hooks should be closer to the door so they are handy. You could then add a long shelf above the hooks and maybe extend it to the back wall. It is a utility room so don't worry too much about crowding the room - if you need storage it's better there than crowding the public areas of the home....See Morejackowskib
