That chest is pretty special..without a picture taken from as far back as possible…it is hard to say if the chest is better there ..tucked in a corner?

Perhaps a simple bench seat with a shelf or art above it.

I would go with nice mirror instead of shelving and get a wall art above the Bombay chest.

The chest and mirror seems beautiful and useful next to the front door. I'd move them back and find something else for the newly freed up corner. Perhaps just artwork or a tall plant.

The chest by the door would be better…but try hanging the mirror on the wall ….to free up a little more space on the top of the chest…in cases like yours …with stairs at the entry…there is usually a rug…that could tie together with the colors on the chest to visually increase the foyer area…plants in the corner add life and energy to the space..with added benefits for interior air quality…

Since the room is pretty neutral…i would also consider adding some colorful art on the tv wall..

The chest in that corner is totally out of place. Are you interested in putting the tv over the fireplace - as suggested?

I like the open arrangement you posted, looks nice. Entryway doesn’t need cluttering up, it’s open and inviting.

Hit the wrong button. Anyway, they managed to convince me that it wouldn’t work. Where we have the TV now works because there is an adjacent closet where we hide all the components. I don’t know where we could do that on the fireplace wall.

I was happy to see the tv wasn’t above the fireplace. It would give you a terrible neck ache at that height. 😄
