Hi OP, I would not consider that transitional. That looks pre-traditional, almost colonial. Gorgeous fixture and shade.

Oh how cranky people make me laugh! Thanks Patricia Colwell Consulting & strategery for providing that this morning - I hope you feel better soon. The fixture is an approximently 20 year old Murray Fiess. My parents owned a lighting store back in the day before the big box stores came to be and put a dent in the small mom and pop businesses. That being said, it is a decent piece and I like making due with what I have verses spending money left and right......hence looking for replacment glasses. I thank you all for the recommendations and suggestions. I agree with you tatts - that's why I posted - trying to make it work.....which may not work. It will work with my transitional decor, so I will go in that direction instead :-) Looking forward to checking out the sites that you all mentioned. Thank you.

Hey there all, does anyone know where I can find a replacement shade for Target’s Threshold Downbridge floor lamp? The shade is beige and I’d like white, but they don’t make a white “mix and match” shade like the others. The threading on any potential replacements at Target are all too small. The Downbridge threading looks to be about 2” in diameter, with the inner “hole” for the light bulb base around 1.75”. The shade fits up into the base and secured with a cap (kind of like a nut on a screw), it doesn’t fit down and secured by the light bulb like in most lamps. Any suggestions? The lamp was pricy enough, I’d hate to get rid of it bc I can’t find a replacement shade. Thank you!

It may be hard to get that identical shade, but there are a number of online stores that carry glass shades and you could buy a pair. I was recently looking to replace a broken shade, and found this place: Glass shades Here's another: Lampglass There are other such stores that you can find through a Google search, and eBay is a good place to browse for this sort of thing, too. Even Home Depot has a pretty large collection of glass shades on its web site. Lastly, local lighting fixture stores often carry an inventory of glass shades. The main issue is the size of the opening at the top, and the mechanism that holds the shade in place.
