Sparklebread, I believe Lowes has your lampshade. I was there yesterday for an errand and stopped to look at their shades, and saw one like this. If you look online for: Portfolio 10-in x 15-in Cream Drum Lamp Shade you can see a photo... the remember the shade being lighter ivory than it appears online. But the shape was definitely like yours with a slight curve inward in the middle.

The fixture is an approximently 20 year old Murray Fiess. My parents owned a lighting store back in the day before the big box stores came to be and put a dent in the small mom and pop businesses. That being said, it is a decent piece and I like making due with what I have verses spending money left and right......hence looking for replacment glasses. I thank you all for the recommendations and suggestions. I agree with you tatts - that's why I posted - trying to make it work.....which may not work. It will work with my transitional decor, so I will go in that direction instead :-) Looking forward to checking out the sites that you all mentioned. Thank you.

In my opinion, the base of the shade is too narrow in diameter. If you want it more streamlined, I would avoid the scalloped edging and go for a more tailored shade. I would probably have the shade a couple of inches longer as well. I would use a style similar to the one at this link (no pleats, ruffles, etc) except I would get one that is plain rather than embellished with embroidery and make sure the color works with your lamp).shade style example

It may be hard to get that identical shade, but there are a number of online stores that carry glass shades and you could buy a pair. I was recently looking to replace a broken shade, and found this place: Glass shades Here's another: Lampglass There are other such stores that you can find through a Google search, and eBay is a good place to browse for this sort of thing, too. Even Home Depot has a pretty large collection of glass shades on its web site. Lastly, local lighting fixture stores often carry an inventory of glass shades. The main issue is the size of the opening at the top, and the mechanism that holds the shade in place.
