Comments (4)That is some really nice granite! I decided to take a look at some pendant lights (I assume they'll go over an island, but if you need something else, like a ceiling semi-flush mount, please let me know) and chose to look at pendants with nickel finish to go with the cabinet handles. I can expand the search to include bronze or other finish families too, though! Kichler Crystal Ball Fredrick Ramond Globe Kichler Avery Hinkley Latitude Elan Meridian Elk Hammered Glass Feiss Lexi ET2 Starburst George Kovacs Alecia's Necklace Fredrick Ramond Mime Craftmade Design-a-Fixture Feiss Rubin Elk Kersey Maxim Lighting Ripple Feiss Beso These are just a few ideas! We have thousands more pendants to peruse if none of these strike your fancy....See MoreKitchen countertops and backsplash ideas. Please help!
Comments (6)First, cool hanging light fixture :) What do you think of white Shaker cabinetry with concrete counters. I think the copper sink may be hard to decorate around; I can't really tell from the pics how dark the copper is, but if it's deep brown, then I think it'll go with the concrete. As for backsplash, glass subway tile is a nice contemporary look if you'd like to pull in a contemporary element. You could also go with white or pale gray tiles in something like 3 x 12 stack set. Then grout in white. Under cabinet lighting will make the glass tile sparkle if you opt for that. I'd stay away from marble, as much as I love it, because it may be too much of different stone types with the slate floor....See MorePINK & BLACK KITCHEN - backsplash ideas, HELP !?!?!?
Comments (36)Since you clearly like pink -- and your color choices thus far seem to have turned out very well, fully living up to your own high expectations -- rather than detract from your original color choices with something trying to steal attention, consider using only a single row of 4" black tiles as your backsplash and leave the rest of your backsplash walls painted pink. If you choose a patterned backsplash, you may end up with a totally different look ... one that is too "busy" for the white and pink and black color contrast to be fully appreciated. Also, and, I think, importantly: It's much easier to decorate and redecorate a painted wall as your tastes or needs change over time if you have a painted wall than it is to decorate and redecorate a tiled one. You could add a spice rack and/or a magnetic knife rack and/or your favorite colorful trivet(s) and/or a floating S&P& sugar bowl shelf and, with a bit of sheet rock patch and paint, remove them without leaving any telltale trace (holes in tiles) that they were ever there. DO save some of your pink paint for any touchups so you can be sure to match it should you want or need to do so....See MoreShawna
