Is this light too big for our entry foyer?
Comments (4)We have this exact light in our foyer. Out of the box it seems huge. Our foyer dimensions are 11 feet 3 inches in length by 6 feet 8 inches wide, however, the foyer is open on 2 sides to other rooms. The foyer ceiling is vaulted with the peak at 17 feet. We love this large light as it is a good size for the space and can be seen outside the large transom over the 8 foot entry door. However, for your ceiling height you might consider the next smaller size. Good luck in your selection. bgj...See MoreIs this light too big for my space?
Comments (3)Hi odyssey3, This indeed has many lights !!! but that doesn't mean it can't work in fact it may be quite exciting. On a dimmer and on at 1/3 the light cast would be very warm and well distributed. I think the reason this could work for you but not for many is because you have a high ceiling. 30x29 is large but it's all relative. If this is a good distance from the closest wall I think it would be very dramatic ! Lighting in general is one of the more interesting ways to personalize your home. Go for what you like !! jd...See MoreIs this light fixture big enough for my foyer?
Comments (1)You haven't provided all the details of your foyer, so just note that with this fixture, if you can look down into your foyer from the second floor, you're likely going to be looking at the bare light bulbs in this fixture because this fixture allows some of the light to reflect up as well as down. This drawing is rough because I'm guessing on heights and details in your foyer. Here is a link that might help you select and hang the fixture. Comments (4)HI -- I strongly suggest getting an Architect to help you with this . Because of the style of your house you have to be careful of what is done . There is a mixture of window styles and having brick and if the outline is your thoughts on a window , I think that would be the wrong way to go ....See MoreAllyson Wilson
