Thanks Bill. I decided to stay with the 12 X 12 since having only 4 big tiles on the diagonal I think would look funny. I think I will use the 16 X 16 Tile in my small kitchen since there, I will have more tiles.

Just watch head clearance, as in your head.

Hi jterrilynn, I think it would fit just based on the dimensions alone. However, the lighting effects - amount of light, shadows cast have to be considered. If you have all the wiring and recessed lights already installed hook up the light and try it alone and together with the recessed lighting.

You haven't provided all the details of your foyer, so just note that with this fixture, if you can look down into your foyer from the second floor, you're likely going to be looking at the bare light bulbs in this fixture because this fixture allows some of the light to reflect up as well as down.
