I think the issue with obtaining Spirit of Freedom is that it’s still under patent, and David Austin has chosen not to offer it, and is forbiding anyone else from selling it as well. The good news is that the patent is expiring soon, so others vendors would then be free to sell it.

BenT, thank you. I didn’t realize it was still under patent. Oh glorious David Austin being stingey with these beautiful roses! I’ll keep an eye out in the coming seasons, maybe it will become a bit easier to get my hands on.

I emailed them directly at Dodd, to find out about St. Cecelia. Hopefully I'm on the list to get one now... if all goes well.
