Furniture Design Dilemma Bedroom

Looking for a bed style

We are designing our master bedroom and centering the bedroom in the middle of the room with the back of the headboard facing the entrance to the room. We have an incredible view in our room and got the inspiation from staying at the Hyatt in the Bahamas. Does anyone know where we can get a bed like this?

That said? This is better done custom to you at an upholstery shop. You determine FIRST the night tables you would like to incorporate in the design.

Frankly would I do it? No. there's no reason to give yourself an opportunity for more to clean, vacuum. No real reason for fixed fabric behind a nightstand: )

If you want it? Do it in three sections. Affix sides separately.

Get yourself an interior designer to consider your entire bedroom suit ALONG with the bed.

There are plenty of low slung upholstered beds on the market............far easier and just as lovely, just as easy to customize, and fewer $$$ and hassle.

Flora, That looks great! I have behind my barn, 6000+ bricks. I was thinking of laying a border of them side by side (vs. end to end) for the lawn mower. However, one of the things that has prevented me from edging anything with anything but Round-Up, is that I have 3 acres of beds. As it is, right now the only chemical I use at all is Round-Up. I fight poison ivy, so I always have it. I simply sprayed the edges of my beds so I could mow on the dead edge. The mulch is mounded up abruptly, so there is a defined edge of the garden. The Round-Up creates kind of a no-man's land. Unfortunately, although it does a good job of keeping the weeds and grass from growing into the beds, it's not the prettiest at all. I love the idea of the edging + the bricks/stones. I might become a little OCD about this and try one of my smaller beds. That'll only be maybe 150' x 15 to 30' wide! Oh - and for anyone who is looking for bricks? Don't forget Freecycle. People have all this stuff stacked up behind their houses.... Christine

Is this all your furniture? If so, what can be eliminated? No bulky brown "leather" couches please. Start with a general de-clutter; sell unwanted items on Craig's List and you'll have a kitty to put toward the new pieces. This type of Murphy bed might work but will put the TV too high for proper viewing. We would have a better appreciation for your space if you'd start by standing at the front door and taking pix there, then moving clockwise and shooting from each corner and mid-wall as you move around and back to the door again. We really just have a hint of the fireplace/wood stove, which should probably be your focal point.

The issue isn't finding that style because it isn't clear exactly what it is about this style that you are finding appealing. You can have a custom bed done which is the route I wanted so that I got exactly the fabric and style I wanted. Is it the attached end tables? Again any good custom wood making company can do it - I had some custom wood furniture done when I remodeled.

The issue really is what you do with the back of the bed since that is going to be on display. Sofas often float in living rooms and there are console tables that are often used. You would also have to consider lighting since there would need to be outlets since typically beds are on a wall which has either sconces, plugs or both as my bedroom wall does.

Also many people watch television in bed so how would you deal with the placement of the television set.

I live in a high rise with unobstructed views of the city so I do appreciate why one would want to enjoy the view whle in bed. My bed is against a wall with the windows on one side. I can see the unobstructed view if my eyeballs move to the right where the window is located. I also have a closet on the wall opposite the window which is mirrored to the ceiling which means that I essentially have the view when I look in that direction as well.
