Why do you feel the need to inject color? There is nothing wrong with neutrals, it looks classic and sophisticated. And I would never suggest adding random colors just for the sake of adding color. Only bring in what makes sense. I have a neutral house, it's not monochromatic, but it's neutrals, and the "colors" that i choose to go in it are on the expanded list of "neutrals". Example: I consider animal prints a neutral. Colors I consider neutral: dark olive green, espresso brown, black, gold, creams, grays, My house does not have any of what people call "pops of color" which I'm totally against, that concept makes no sense to me. But my house is far from boring or lacking in "color". It sounds like all you need to do is get out of all grays. That is boring and will not look good.

Well, don't go break the bank on something that hands out radon, or cannot be effectively cleaned without a college diploma! A very nice countertop that is a solid surface, and just simply white will be very pretty. Keep it simple, Let your floor shine. Oak and cedar wood does go with green(I call yours' Emerald and Gold....not really Forest or Pine on my monitor) just take a walk in a park or maybe just in a Nature area. There is nothing prettier than wood and green grass with the colors of birds and butterflies around. Nature does not make mistakes...so I think the counters, and the appliances as they can(need is the only thing that moves mine out)be changed to white with your sink....will be a very pleasant transition, and be careful doing that drywall painting. Your floor and your wood and your counters will need some time and effort to be duly protected. Maybe that will sink and counter top will lead you to the right shade for your walls. There are alot to choose from in just the family of lites/ whites..

I have Mercier, the floors are now 7+ tears old and they are doing great. I regularly get compliments from visitors and neighbors how nice the floors look. One important thing I have done consistently for the entire time is follow Mercier’s cleaning and maintenance instructions, pretty much exactly, which you find in a PDF file on their website. I’ve even sought out and use Mercier brand cleaning solution, which is for their no VOC finishes. Tip: get one spray bottle then get the 1 gallon refill jugs. I also got a vacuum brush head attachment this is soft and intended to not scratch hardwood finishes. Tip #2, I’d follow the manufacturers written/documented/published cleaning instructions before and no matter what an installer tells you to do. The species is American Cherry, which I don’t see as an option with Mercier any more, nor with other peer brands. I have both hardwood and engineered, the engineered was specifically needed in one section that had concrete substrate. I wanted both the engineered and hardwood to look the same and that is what, 7 years ago, set Mercier apart. They were able to supply the grade and finish in one species in both hardwood and engineered. I was skeptical at first but there’s no difference to this day, including in the cherry maturation.

Looks great! Removing that pot rack made a huge difference and the floors look beautiful. Agree with chocolatesnap though, take everything down from the tops of the cabinets and leave them clean/clear from anything. Platters up there say to me the kitchen lacks the storage to store them and that is NOT what you want buyers thinking when they are standing in your lovely kitchen.
