Is the console just to take up that area or do you have a need for storage? The black frames above bother me more than the darker wood tone. Are the legs on your end tables black iron? If so maybe the frames have a reference? If you are going for matchy match then look for a weathered piece. Why do you think you will have room for a chair?

Its a very large wall space that I’d like to change completely. We dont need the storage space, just woukd like to lighten up the spot. I agree, I hate the dark frames. They are dark wood - not black. I dont need it to be matchy matchy, just work with the space. Do you have any pictures of tables you can suggest? I like this style but maybe with a creamy white table?
