Can I see pics of throw pillows that *didn't* come with your sofa
Comments (26)I had pillows made by an upholster. I made my out of 2 different fabrics so I can switch with the seasons - with the welt cord a contrasting fabric. Here they are with the wool plaid for winter. And here with the khaki linen. Older pic but only one I have with old couch... On my club chairs I had kidney pillows made the same way but they are tufted with a button of the constrasting fabric. Smiles:)...See MoreWhat do you have hanging on your wall over your sofa??
Comments (18)I know how hard can be to choose something to have there. From what you describe, an abstract painting would go nice there, but here is another idea. Over my living room sofa, I have a big gold mirror (35x42) with two other small sunburst mirrors (12x12, and 9x9) it looks great, but I just had a custom made mirror-window, in wood and black ( 32x42) for my dining room, and I like it so much that I am thinking about switching it with the big mirror over my living room sofa. I think the mirror-window would look great in your space. I had seen it in stores, but not exactly as I wanted it, but you can find it online. I would also suggest if you are not really sure, get any type of mirror. canôt go wrong with a mirror!! Let me know what you think. Good luck!!...See MoreCan we see your sofa wall?
Comments (36)Yup, the sofa wall is the third pic down-- my couch is perpendicular to the wall and the huge huge print there is an old antique chromolithograph of Richard III. (Which weighs, I'll attest, about a bazillion pounds. :-) ) The rest of the pics on that page are just my livingroom. You all have posted some absolutely beautiful rooms-- and great sofas. I'm having an episode of sofa envy now. Mine is hiding under a slipcover until I can find something that looks Victorian enough (yet functional) to go with the rest of my decor. --Jenn Here is a link that might be useful: My sofa wall and other livingroom pics...See MoreCould You Share Pictures of Your Sofa?
Comments (58)Gilmoregal-thank you for your kind words. The sofa is a Bernhardt that I originally found at Haverty's. Then I found the exact sofa at Bob Mill's (which is a really strange store, they have really low end stuff and REALLY high end stuff) for half the price they wanted at Haverty's. I'm very happy with it so far. I also bought the matching chair and 1/2 which I like, but am not thrilled with the back cushion. It's going to need restuffing already. For some reason, it's totally different than the sofa cushions. I think you can look on Bernhardt's website and find the upholstery. If you need a closer pic, let me know. But it should be pretty easy to pick it out. I can't remember what the name of it is. Hope that helps....See MoreRelated Professionals
