Hosta A 2022 .............
Comments (56)Is the party over yet? Or can I still join? Here's some I haven't seen here yet or already forgot I saw. Alligator Alley grew so well I had to move it a couple years ago. Starting to bounce back. Angel Falls early in the season, - Slow but steady after moving into a bit more light. Appletini and Apple Candy (and Toy Soldier) Awakening Angel Ayesha...See MoreHosta R 2022 ...................
Comments (33)mbug, love your dog and puppy statue in the garden…..Ripple Effect got my attention when it was on the cover of one of the hosta publications in the last year……yours is very nice. Does it get much sun?? Also, I don’t know your zone, am wondering if it’s 5 or 5b like me. All of your hostas look perfect! No burns, frost damage or even munchies damage…. How do you do it? One more thing, I see you have hostas in pots…..how do you overwinter them? Old_dirt, your hostas are beautiful as well! All your medio-variegated ones look terrific! I always thought those were a bit more picky about their conditions. Do you think they are? Also, Royal Standard has a pure white flower whereas Honeybells is more lavender. To me, the foliage looks like RS. Your Regal Splendor is lovely! debra...See MoreHosta Noid 2022 ...................We are not done yet
Comments (16)I had the same thought for Saija’s blue with round leaves as debra..Elegans.. Saija..does it produce lots of seed pods?.. old_dirt..I thought of Gold Drop along with Laurie and debra..I have Gold Drop but no great pics of it.. 2 pics of small volunteers.. in back..small green with white margins and a small green with ruffles? piecrust edges?..are both terms proper?.. then in front..a similar small green..I love both of the little green ones but the one in front is my favorite of the two.. it occurred to me that since these hosta are volunteers maybe they aren’t named cultivars?..does that seem possible?..I’ll leave the pics anyway.. is there a cultivar that they resemble?.....See MoreHosta Blues 2022 ....................................
Comments (23)old_dirt really nice Hadspen Blue! Debra they are all beautiful but Prairie Sky is a standout along with Blueberry Muffins and Blue Hawaii! I went back over all my pics of Silver Bay. It gets sun all day except around 1:30 - 2:30. My soil is moisture retentive and I am on the edge of zone 4b so those are things to keep in mind with placement. jocl17 very nice DBS. Ann just lovely. Diamond Lake is a beauty. I think I would rule out Blue Cadet as your NOID. Might lean toward Fragrant Blue. If you could give close up pics of foliage & flowers as well as size it would help decide the ID....See MoreRelated Professionals
