New Quartzite broken at veining

Andrew Mills
last month

We had a new quartzite top, placed on our island, and within five days the corner came off at a vein. It’s a significant piece that measures about 2 inches along one side and 3 inches on the other and has no cabinet support underneath it. The company is planning to send someone out to glue it back on. Are there any professionals that can advise if this repair will be adequate and long lasting, or if they should be willing to replace the entire slab? Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.
