Below freezing temps the next five days, risks?

I don't normally worry about perennials and shrubs and cold temperatures here unless it's March and there is already new growth. We are forecast for minus 7F two nights in a row, very windy condtions for days and highs of teens during the day. No snow cover at all.

I have a pile of chopped leaves - should I be adding some extra mulch around Roses, or Hellebores, Hostas, Bulbs, Lilies, Mock Orange?

I also have two large ceramic pots that I’ve left outside all winter for 3 years. I empty them and turn them upside down, but still, I’d hate to lose them they are not cheap to replace any more.

Anyone have experience with these temperatures and no snow cover?
