Please help with area rug and floor plan layout
Comments (20)1) I'm working with the layout you have because I thought there was a reason for you to have the desks facing each other. 2) I didn't find the size you show for the Re-jute area rug on the Ruggable website. 3) I really don't think it's a good idea to overlap the rugs as you show, it's a trip hazard plus it wouldn't look good. All of the above taken into consideration, I searched for rugs to fit your room and this is what I came up with. The only thing I'm not sure of is your exact mesurement for the back area where the desks are, you show 6'6 top to bottom (fireplace wall) and the rug I found is 6'7". Although I understand you want to protect your floors, it's nice to see some flooring between the 2 area rugs....See MoreNeed help for area rug
Comments (17)Rug first then paint. You select the rug first because rug sizes, patterns, and your budget will limit what is available to you. Paint has infinite choices. If you start with the paint color, you may never find the right color and pattern rug that you can afford & might end up painting the room twice. Your sofa color has a decidedly green color. Those beige rugs you are placing next to the sofa in your photoshopped images are not working in your favor. They have a red/pink undertone in color. I don't mean to offend. but a large percentage of the male population is red/green colorblind. If that applies to you then get some help with selecting colors. Here is the online test for Red/Green Colorblind https://www.webeyeclinic.com/color-blind/ishihara-test As I mentioned earlier, the paint color you currently have on the wall works with your current seating selections. What is it you don't like? Once you have art on the walls the large expanse of golden green paint will not seem so intense....See MoreIt’s me again! Help with area rug
Comments (2)try a few warm tones that you like, and I would keep it to a size that lets some of the wood show around the edge of the room, the larger ones seem to make the room look very long....See MoreHelp with area rug for foyer
Comments (6)You have such a lovely home! These are all from Ruggable. I’ve never had a washable rug myself, so can’t comment on quality, ease of washing, etc, but they seem to be very popular. I‘m someone who likes mixing patterns, so most of these are: William Morris design: They won’t be facing each other as my mock-ups show, so it’ll actually be easier to find something. Maybe browse their site, there were lots of others I saw that might work. https://ruggable.com...See MoreRelated Professionals
