Does this piece of art work in my room (w/pics)?
Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreFamily Room and Office Art
Comments (18)I have ordered from Saatchi Art, a small (4"x12") mixed media piece (collage, paint, pencil). I had to split payment between a Visa gift card and a credit card, which I couldn't do through their website, so I had to go through customer service, and they were great. Really, really helpful. I did not, however, use their art advisory service (didn't feel I needed it; I was happy to browse and their filters let me focus on my price range). When the piece came it was well packaged and looked as expected based on the online pics. I was very happy....See MoreI can't seem to pull this room together... Does this art work?
Comments (7)If it were hung it would look "squished in" and even if it's left leaning I'm afraid it's still too large. What about putting it in that large empty area to the left and doing some smaller things on the right wall (maybe some black and white family photos? Then you can decide on something else for over the fireplace, which could even be a mirror. If you decide to do that, I would choose something quite a bit smaller and more rectangular than the painting. That wall could really be a beautiful focal point for the room....See MorePlease need your inputs in simplifying this room or changing art works
Comments (3)You have only posted one image, but I would suggest the room would look better with the sofa on one of the long walls, maybe under the picture on the wall with the TV in the corner?? That's not really the best chandelier for this room....See Moresahmed0102
