Thanks for all the input! We're using an experienced contractor, so I'm not worried about personally screwing up the installation. I'm still nervous about the pebbles and I'm prepared to pick some apart by hand myself, if necessary. The tile is coming from a tile store and everything is rated appropriately (I double checked!). Beth H: I really appreciate the advice and all the pics. Very helpful! I just ordered 4000K lightbulbs. I have no idea what's up there now. I will definitely make sure the sealer is applied as advised. If I do the pebbles, I want them to look good! Patti: please share pics of your baths. I would love to see them! North: thanks for the tip on the enhancer. I saw some at the tile shop done half-and-half and I completely agree with you! Grover: thanks for affirming my hesitance to tile around the freestanding tub. I don't want tile overload.

Love your tile selections. We also selected a very similar 24x48 with that exact same niche tile. I thought they went wonderful together. But had to forgo your wonderful niche tile because our niche would be too small. Instead chose the rock below. I too hate schluter trim but found an acceptable one in a rock colored trim. This is the code number and color: We have had field tile bullnosed before (on a previous project) and loved the affect. Would have done that for this project except the tiles are too heavy for us to get down to the facilitiy that does it. If your tile guy can do it on site I would select that. The sharp corner was hand smoothed to eliminate it. Even with the slight uneveness in the second pic I like it better than schluter. Especially better than metal colored schluter. Pics below: But for us the project isn't happening due to our tile installer not being very good. I think your guy seems to be doing a very nice job. I would accept those cut out holes with no problem and over all the job looks really good.

Thank you, thinkdesignlive! That is what I was trying to decide! I initially loved the bathroom below that has the marble tile with hexagon AND the gray floor. But, I like the herringbone pattern more...I agree with you on a consistent floor to make the bathroom feel bigger. I was considering this floor in the bottom pictures that resemble cement. Do you think I should do this for both floors? Or do you think I should try and pull off the hexagon off with the herringbone pattern? Thank you, Classic Comfort

STOP right now no wood look tile please It is already dated and honestly it never looked good in anyhwere where you would not use real wood so for sure not the shower walls. I like 12 x24 porcelain tile in bathrooms and I like the floor and the shower walls the same the tile can have a marble look or be very plain and you add your accents with things that can be changed often The simpler and fewer the prmanent things are the longer you will love the space . I use the same color tile for the shower floor but in a much smaller tile .
