Mr. Skeffington is to me an appealing shade of orange. I like deep and brilliant, but also this yellowish orange.

So many worthy M's. Memphis did not have high bud count last summer, but the blooms were as spectacular as ever.

Mean Green is so reliable. Has it now missed out on its Stout chances? Or is it still eligible?

Mardi Gras Indian is such a brilliant bloom. Nan mentioned once that it tends to be a bouquet bloomer. Not sure. It is a small clump now.

Mama Drama certainly fits the name. Big and vivid.

Mr. Butters is a welcome early bloomer.

Mango Crush was new to the garden in 2021 and this was its first time flowering for us. We were quite impressed and it's a late bloomer too.

As you might imagine, Bob loves Mardi Gras Indian. It's probably the brightest orange in the garden.

Martha Edson Norris put on quite a show last summer.

Maynard Max is a nice toothy.

Muy Caliente puts on quite a show. However, this is not one clump but several small clumps planted close together.

Sherry love the joke as it is one I have told my kids.

MARY'S BABY is a fantastic plant, even though it is a little on the short side.

MANDALAY BAY MUSIC: The blooms always look like this. I love the pastel petal color with the bright gold edge. A little slow to increase, but the scapes are tall and well branched in my garden.

MAMA'S CHERRY PIE: This is a nice one. It increases well and blooms for a long period of time. The white edge is temperature dependent. It is always there, but is wider some days.

MYSTERY OF THE AGES: This is a fantastic Emmerich intro. Well branched and budded.

MICHAEL BENNETT: Love the contrast of the eye and petal. Good increaser. I only wish it was a little taller.

MALCOLM DAVID BROOKER SR: Does well for me. The only flaw is that it tends to have many blooms open at once and they crowd each other. I love the fact that it has teeth on both the petals and sepals.

Favorites so far are Mary's Baby, Mean Green, Mardi Gras Indian, Marilyn Lee Boch, Mountain Orchid and Mystery of the Ages, hard to narrow down from so many beautiful ones though.

Malaysian Marketplace has good years along with the bad, but when it is good it is really good.

Debra's Star Lord reminds me of it but it's listed as an evergreen, which would make it even more vulnerable to winter temperatures in my pot culture..........Memphis has wonderful form. A real winner in the pale pink category.......... I'm trying to be very good and not order Mardi Gras Indian as it's right up my alley........ Muy Caliente was new for me last year and did impress with it's vibrant color in our high heat....... Mister Mayor has increased well and has tall well-budded scapes. It was one of my top five favorite daylilies last season.

Mystic Maize is another well-budded good increaser that reblooms in my climate.

Mystical Intuition blooms very early, has a moderate amount of buds, multiplies well, and usually reblooms.

Men in Black is an excellent multiplier and good rebloomer here.

Melee is a showoff in the late season.

Other M's that have been outstanding in previous years are Memphis, Miss Demeanor and Miss Goldie Gold Digger. Mary's Baby has a gorgeous bloom, but it never performed well for me after getting attacked by grubs in its first year. Since its offspring, Star Lord, performs so well and is larger, taller, and better for hybridizing, I gave Mary's Baby to a neighbor down the street.

Lots of pretty M's posted. The ones that most caught my eye were Mississippi Blues, Mountain Bluebird, Mardi Gras Indian, Man of Sorrows and Mediterranean Sailor. I loved the photos of Memphis by Kate and Mantis. Mine didn't look very pink last summer in the drought's long stretch of 98 degree plus temps.

Marmalade puts on a show. I missed getting a pic at one of its many peaks but you can see how many spent blooms are beneath it. Sorry about the mess.

Mister Mayor is indeed vigorous and floriferous. Mystery of the Ages here looks very promising. Martha Edson Norris, though short, is very showy with its large blooms.

My Pet Dragon looks interesting. An acquaintance likes that one the best among Selmans in that range. Malaysian Marketplace is early here; rather slow to multiply. I see that Mediterranean Sailor is a Hanson out of Benchmark.

Some others I certainly would recommend.

Minnesota Nice --a vigorous and floriferous Emmerich

I very much like the color of Mexicali Blues (Rice), but bud count is limited.

Mahogany Magic --an evergreen that is well budded. There may have been some slightly-off years, but definitely not last year. Some people don't like this color. I definitely do.

Magnetic Springs (Hanson). Clean here this past year and an appealing color.

Of course, Morning Mood, though it is front row.

Makayla Jenelle --good performer and color from Floyd Boatwright

Mitch Lynd, Money Maker, Man Eater, and Miss Moneypenney are also worthy of consideration, but I have already posted too many.

Mister Mayor looks really good, Debra. I also like Metaphor, Men in Black, Melee, Marmalade. Mantis, Malaysian Marketplace is rather slow to clump up. I have had it many years and it is now a nice clump but not huge. I like all of your clumps, they look great, but Minnesota Nice is especially nice. I agree about Mahogany Magic. I got that one in a trade years ago, she replaced Velvet Eyes with MM because she decided that I would prefer that it she said. I got VE later. Prefer the looks of Velvet Eyes, but I think Mahogany Magic is a more vigorous plant.

Nancy, Velvet Eyes here was a weak plant, rather tender.

Memorial to Steve made a good show last summer. It was introduced with too much hoopla, but was a charity plant as I recall.
